Publisher's summary

It's my first time meeting my sister's fiancé. I knock on the door, and who do I see with his arm around her? The man who got me pregnant.

Three months ago, I almost got hit by a car. The guy behind the wheel was as gorgeous as they come. We got to talking and… well, things got a little carried away, if you know what I mean.

But when it was over, we went our separate ways.

Except, not quite. The little plus sign on this pregnancy test tells me our story isn't over. But that's a problem for another day. First, I have to go to my sister's engagement party.

When I see who she's marrying, my jaw hits the floor. This… This cannot possibly be real.

But it is real. So is the attraction I felt when I first met Ilarion Zakharov. So is the hatred. And so are the bullets that start flying when Ilarion's enemies attack the party.

Turns out Mr. Not So Nice Guy is a big bad Bratva don. Now that he knows I'm pregnant with his heir, he's not letting me out of his sight.

Diamond Devil is book one of the Zakharov Bratva duet. The story continues in book two, Diamond Angel. This is a light mafia contemporary romance with no cheating.

Good story, but ...

The audiobook narration was great. My problem; and it is MY problem, is the angst. I had a hard time getting through the story as there was so much tension, drama, soul searching and self-sacrifice by the heroine (who I found likeable, but unlikeable, at the same time). That being said, I will read/listen to the next one because I have to know how they overcame the hurdles and complications! It had better not be a cliffhanger ... Did I mention how much I HATE cliffhangers?

I'll never buy book 2

I almost DNF'd the book but decided to finish and I'm mad I did.

The only characters I liked was the MMC, his sister, and the sisters love interest.

The MFC is a self appointed annoying victim you want to like but can't because she’san annoying martar. She is surrounded by liars and death.

This book ended on a cliffhanger and I could care less how the next book end.

Lastly if you're going to have a pregnant woman bleed at 10 weeks pregnant than make it make sense. Noone bleeds like that gets examined externally and is told everything is fine without ultrasound proof. Also who then takes a shower and doesn't care about the wellbeing of their child but wants to put herself in danger to protect her sister, father, and mother.

No!

NOT WORTH THE CREDIT!

The good man who was in love with Taylor.

I loved the story except Taylor’s wining and complaining all the time. I mean she knew he was a bad guy so I don’t know she complained all the time.
