3 1/2 for this book, 5 for the series premise

I've been listening to this series for a little while and I really like the storyline and most of the characters. That being said, I've GOT to rant a little. First, it's too much "how to run a..." for dummies and not a whole lot of story (that in general, not only on this particular book. The narrator sounds like she's reading the grocery list which can get a little annoying sometimes. But what really gets me is a couple of things. 1) Cate is SO SMART, she's 18 now and she still sounds like a five year old with those "mommy" and "daddy", makes me want to shout: GROW UP will ya! 2) THOSE TWINS - either the author finds a purpose for them in this series or grow them up as well, they still behave like a couple of spoiled nine year old brats. 3) I'm not one for these 17 book series so I hope the author finds a happy ending for this series some time in the future. That being said, I still like the premise of Earth being part of an interstellar exploration and all the cool gadgets and things they develop (just tone down on the "how to's" (or get a better editor lol) and we should be okay. The lower pace doesn't bother me (heck I loved Downton Abbey!). I also like most of the characters (minus those annoying twins) so I'll just keep plodding along. Hope not for 17 books. And, since I read sci fi because of the "magic" and not for the "science" I don't get into the possibilities and science behind the books. All in all, I really like the series. I'll keep on buying the audiobooks (hopefully not 17 lol).

Liberalism at its finest. Biggest joke to audio books

The authors idea of pushing useless political propaganda is a joke to the public. Showing that when people do wrong, they sue the people they did wrong and get away with it. I’m ashamed that anyone would find this kind of behavior acceptable. In a world of science fiction, aliens would laugh at us as they wipe us away and I wouldn’t blame them.
