Publisher's summary

Bloomsbury presents Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas, read by Elizabeth Evans.

Never trust an assassin.

Celaena’s story continues in this second book in the #1 bestselling Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas.

Celaena Sardothien won a brutal contest to become the King’s Champion. But she is far from loyal to the crown. Though she goes to great lengths to hide her secret, her deadly charade becomes more difficult when she realizes she is not the only one seeking justice. Her search for answers ensnares those closest to her, and no one is safe from suspicion—not the Crown Prince Dorian; not Chaol, the Captain of the Guard; not even her best friend, Nehemia, a princess with a rebel heart.

Then, one terrible night, the secrets they have all been keeping lead to an unspeakable tragedy. As Celaena’s world shatters, she will be forced to decide once and for all where her true loyalties lie...and what she is willing to fight for.

The second book in the #1 New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series returns listeners to a land destroyed by liars, where one woman’s truth is the only thing that can save them all.

Crown Of Midnight ; Phenomenal Sequel

Sarah J. Mass has done a fantastic job with her second book in the Throne Of Glass series ; Crown Of Midnight. There is major character development for all of our favorites : Celaena, Nehemia, Chaol, Dorian, and Fleetfoot. I throughly enjoyed the progress of the riddles and secrets constantly unfolding before Celaena. The development of the plot is fascinating and captures the reader with an equal amount of awe and suspicion of what will happen next. Although there are some heart-wrenching soul-guttering moments, it is clear to the reader that far larger schemes are at work in this sequel. Epic praise from me, and all the recommendations in the world for this whole series.

Sarah J. Maas used this book as a way to lay the ground work for massive epic stories yet to unfold for Miss Celaena Sardothien and all her friends. I for one, cannot wait to devour the next book. See you all there.

XOXOXO

Brilliant. I’ve read these like 23 times already.

My only complaint is Dorian’s voice. I hate it. They should have made his voice get a little bit more kinder.

They keep getting better!

I love Sarah J Maas and have read all of her other books but I can’t lie when I say the first book of TOG was hard to get through. This one turned that all around! So good! I loved the story, narrator, and everything. I’m excited for book three. :)

I think this is the fastest I have EVER read through a series.

I’m speechless. My brain is reeling. My heart is aching both from sorrow and happiness.

I have read the first 2 books and the sequel in 3 days. Up past bed time is the understatement of the year.

Oh. My. Gods.

In love.

Just ok

There’s better fantasy- Maas so far isn’t a strong story teller or that good at character development BUT now that I’ve read about how young she was when she started writing I’m looking at these a little differently— of course they aren’t incredible, but I’m hopeful because the books are getting better.
