Publisher's summary

When it rains, it pours...and sometimes love finds you even when you can’t find yourself.

Fate has given me a second chance at the happiness I once knew in the odd Southern town of Grimm Cove. But only if I can come to terms with some rather eye-opening revelations. Supernaturals are a real thing. I'm a witch. My high school sweetheart, who happens to be the Chief of Police in Grimm Cove, is my fated mate and a wolf-shifter. Ghosts exist and can be very nosy and meddlesome. Someone is murdering witches left and right. And last but not least, my ex-husband's barely legal arm candy is taking fatal attraction to new levels of Hell.

I'm no shrinking violet, and with the help of my best friends, I'm going to live life on my terms - come Hell, high water, or magikal mishaps.

Mandy M Roth begins her newest series around a small town called Grimm Cove, South Carolina. This town isn’t what it seems to be. Told from the characters perspective, who’s lives are turned upside down by what they learn and coming into contact with a long-lost love. A woman starting over and a man who can’t forget about the woman he let get away. They’ll deal with ghosts, shifters, and an enemy she didn’t know she had. She and her best friends move to Grimm Cove brings them the knowledge they didn’t know about themselves and their new home. Written with love, passion danger and unique characters deal with all that happens with sarcasm and humor that will want you to continue the whole series. Cloudy With a Chance of Witchcraft will have you anxiously waiting for all the other stories in the Grimm Cove series. If you’ve not read Mandy M Roth before this is a great way to start and if you’re a long-time fan it’s a must read or listen and to be added to your collection. Can’t wait to for the next in the series to be released in audio book form. I’m a recent convert to this author over the last few years and will continue being a fan for a very long time to come.

Just a little witchy

The book was good but not a great one. Ms Roth typically fleshed out the characters on better.

Great new series (for me!)

I thoroughly enjoyed this book considering it’s a cozy mystery therefore light reading. Well written, easy to follow, and likable characters.

Cute story

Not sure if this is considered YA, but seemed a bit YA.
Still enjoyed the book though, I enjoy a mystery with a romance, which this book has, super friends, smart remarks, magic and funny grandparents.

Narrator was just okay. Does well with female characters, but dang, she can not do male voices at all. They males sounded like girls or pre-teen boys.

Still, will probably get the next book.

Good story

I like the story. Has lots of different paranormals. Biggest complaint would be that the male voices sounded like prepubescent teenage boys. Almost whinny, and soft. Tone was terrible too. On the girls side it was great. Should have brought in a guy for Bretts parts.

Narrator took a lot to get over.

The narrator took a lot to get over. The story repeats several plot themes over and over.

Gets much better after the beginning

Like the story, didn't like the begining with the cheating husband that wants a divorce. Such a worn trop.

could have been better

The narrator kind of ruined this for me. I felt like a kindergarten kid sitting cross legged on the floor listening to a teacher read a story. It did NOT sound like someone narrating a novel for adults. Her style should be reserved for children's books only. She managed to make several of the characters (even the men) sound like Blanche from Golden Girls. It didn't make them likeable in the least. The story was entertaining, but I'd recommend reading it and not listening to it if you want to enjoy it and not cringe every time there is dialogue
