Jon Acuff is Worth Listening To

I find Mr. Acuff's stories and examples rather compelling. This is all good advice, laid out in an easy-to-digest format. (I also liked the fact that he did not shove his Christianity down the reader's throat like his boss Dave Ramsey does.) I liked it so much I listened to it twice in a row.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book

The material in this book so spoke to my condition that I bought the hardback so I can re-read it as a textbook. Tonight I will begin to re-read it and follow the in-text assignments as they are printed. Thank you, Jon, for this in-my-face look at me, and most importantly, what I can do today to change for the better.

This book let me know that I'm not alone. I'm not the only one who has made crazy mistakes! The author is amazing in his story telling and intertwines his own experience into the book.

Fun listen, great content

Would you listen to Start again? Why?

I listened to it once, then turned around and listened to it again the next day. There are a lot of good stories that act as fables to get points across, and while some have said they come off as "self serving" the authors self deprecating comments ensure that they are meant to get a point across not inflate his ego

What did you like best about this story?

Thought there was a general thrust that it's never too late to start on a journey or on a passion there are a lot of practical take aways in each section

What about Jon Acuff’s performance did you like?

He's got a great way of delivering content, slightly sarcastic but inspiring when needed

Feels like conversation with a wise friend. Practical and liberating.

As a mid-career mid-level manager I have been at many crossroads. Thus book would have been very helpful to ensure I was pursuing my awesome rather than a paycheck. Paychecks are great but in the wrong job I becomes a chain that can prevent you from becoming your best you. Jon points the way and provides guidance but not a prescribed step-by-step process. Read, listen to, repeat. Become your awesome best.
