Not as Compelling as the First Emyth Book

While I enjoy it when authors instruct me through story, I think this book took it overboard to several degrees. I enjoyed the main premise of the book, but I did not enjoy the way the information was delivered through constant story. I would much rather the author just explain to me the main points and pop in a story here and there. This book was exactly opposite. It was all story with a few points sprinkled in. Not my cup of tea but still an amazing concept.

A true lesson

If you are looking for a book that will change your way of thinking about running your business, this is it. E-Myth Mastery provided me with plenty of examples of the different roles in a business and what it takes to own and run a business. BTW - They are not the same characteristics.

"Work On Your Business not In Your Business"

Would you listen to E-Myth Mastery again? Why?

Yes, I would listen to E-Myth Mastery again because it has many steps needed for mastery that you need to practice and implement.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed Michael Gerber's truthful sharing of how he came to develop the E-Myth and the use of the story of Sarah was a great example.

What does Michael E. Gerber bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Listening to Michael's passion, concern and honesty about how to become a "world class" business" is inspiring to me.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listen to books first all the way through and then go back and implement the exercises or points of importance for me.

Any additional comments?

I recommend this book and the entire E-Myth series for all start up business as well as established businesses seeking to be "world class"

A Step Back from E-Myth Revisited

It would have been better to leave Sarah in E-Myth Revisited, and an editor should have pressed Mr. Gerber to reconsider some of his repetitive writing style. I lost the message in the uncomfortable intimacy and flirtatiousness of the dialogue. Sarah was all too helpless and worshipful in the made up back and forth in their meetings. It made me roll my eyes often and distracted me from what would have probably been helpful advice. The business advice became too amorphous too. Mr. Gerber's homework did not translate to the audiobook, and so i found it much less helpful.

The eMyth Revisited is Much Better

His other book, The eMyth Revisited, is much better! This book was a long story, kinda boring, and less factual.

Great Read...if you love climbing

I attended a recent lecture by Michael in 2005 and have also read e-Myth Revisted three times.

You are either a dreamer and love "climbing" or not.

I think the reviews above are a great example of the ones who truly can not climb. They are not truly driven. If they were then they may understand his story in e-Myth Mastery...its his story, his life story. In good and bad times he built a world class company. To call the telling of ones life "mindless dribble" is all to telling as to why an entrepreneur will want to look past such a review from the "folks in the village" and just keep on climbing.

Get this book to simply reinspire you. If he can do it so can you (and trust me me Michael's story is very real - not many would have stuck through it like he did).

Great content for anyone who wants to learn about business.

I think the author provides great insight into the roll of the entrepreneur. Sometimes the writing rambles too much for me, so I’m giving this book a 4 instead of a 5. For business people looking to grow and understand an entrepreneur, this book is well worth your time.
