Another great story from Amy!!

A new book from Amy Andrews is an immediate one-click for me. I love the small town of Credence, Colorado and all the stories that have taken place there. Having lived in a small town in Eastern Colorado, I can say this series captures the feel of life on the plains perfectly. In this latest book, thirtysomething Bea moves to Credence, fed up after years of following everyone else's rules and sacrificing her own chances to enjoy life in order to get ahead at her LA advertising firm. Being overlooked for a hard-earned promotion is the final straw to make her walk away and find a place where she is determined to live on her own terms. Rumors about the mysterious newcomer immediately start to fly and when she makes her first appearance at the local eatery in bunny slippers, the town’s busybody calls the police. Sexy, twenty-five-year-old officer Austin is sent to investigate and ends up helping Beatrice break out of the old restrictions and try something new—him. Austin is being drawn closer to Beatrice, but she finds herself unexpectantly pulled back into the LA scene.

This story contains all the open sexiness expected from an Amy Andrews book, while also being a sweet and funny story of a woman finding her own way. I hope the Credence series will continue. It was great to learn what some of the other residents from past books are up to now. Plus I love listening for Amy’s “Australian-isms” such as kitchen roll for paper towels and bench for kitchen counter.

I was not familiar with narrator Mia Barron, but she did a great job and I hope to hear her in future audiobooks. I plan to listen to this one again!

Steamy and Transformative!

This book was a steamy, unique approach to a self-revealing transformation of big city girl who finds herself through Annie’s pie, a one-eyed cat named princess, and an interest in the small town cop of Nowhere, Colorado. Beatrice goes through highs and lows and learns how to be unapologetically her, which make her most relatable!

Pretty Bad Book

The only good parts of this book were the sex scenes. If you’re looking for a smut book with a good plot, this isn’t it. I wouldn’t read this again.

Fun and Quirky! Age Gap

Amy Andrews will charm and delight you with this age gap romance between a woman ready to take her life back into her own hand and a small town police officer, 10 years her junior. This novel is sexy, fun and hilarious! Amy Andrews will take you on a ride with ups and downs as the heroine learns to go after what she wants, find joy in herself and learn not to worry about what others think. Andrews writing has a wit and charm to it, that makes the heroine easily likable and relatable. The pacing of this novel is high powered and moves easily from moment to moment. Overall a truly delightful novel, that will leave you ready to seize the day!
