Publisher's summary

My research ship crashed, stranding me on an alien planet with no hope of rescue.

When I’m captured by frightening, green aliens and given to Grael, a brooding, scythe-wielding Destran male with chameleon-like skin and the darkest eyes I’ve ever seen, I don’t know whether to cower before him or kiss him. I’ve spent my life puzzling out the human psyche, but can I get through Grael’s formidable walls?

I am Grael, lord of my living, symbiont ship and protector of the Destran population living in it. I have enough problems trying to free my ship from the rocky crevice its trapped in. I am not pleased when I’m presented with a “gift” of a frightened human female by the locals. I have no use for the small, alien female, but I can’t send her into the dangerous wilds where she’ll be killed. What am I to do with the beautiful woman with the dark blue eyes and a smile that lights up my dark world?

As enemies close in with plans to take over Grael’s ship and extract the powerful drug it produces, Grael and Lexi must find a way to hold them off and free the ship, but little do they know the devastating monster coiling beneath the seething mountain itself, threatening to devour everything in its path.

New author

Glad I found this, it has real content and less sex than most others which is how I like it!

Great storyline and world building!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🤎💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😠☺️😋🥰
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Lexi - she is a psychologist and was on a research vessel in space going to look at a planet to see if it would support human life, when the ship starts to break up. All the human females aboard escaped in pods and crash landed in different places on the nearest planet.

The Hero: Grael - he is a Lord of Destra, one of the few lords who is bound to a living symbiont spaceship. He is responsible for the ship and the people on it. The ship creates a by product that is very valuable and there are others that want it, but it is needed by Grael’s people as both a food source and for its healing capabilities.

The Story: the planet they were on was not a good one to support Grael’s Sola (ship) or human life. There is also a volcano nearby that coughs out lava and ash every now and again. The Bracken are also nearby and want the lahmi that the ship makes, they pursued the destrans to this planet and remain on the planet and are closing in on Grael’s ship.

The story was as good as the first book. The Sola was stuck between two mountains so couldn’t move anywhere and Lexi had a communication device which she used to try to find out if any of the other human women survived. The two of them were captured by the Bracken at one point, and things got pretty exciting from there. I love the fact that though the destran people are warriors, they actually wear clothes instead of loincloths like many alien romance stories.

This book was told in multiple points of view by a dual narration. It and was narrated by Elle Sonali and Tor Thom. I love Tor Thom for alien romance, he has a deep voice which sound otherworldly in a way and it is perfect for this genre. Elle Sonali has a nice sounding voice and I liked her narration as well. This was the second book in this series and I have read both so far, I plan to read more.

Bound to the Alien Lord is book 2 in the Lords of Destra series. This book is about 36 year old psychologist and human, Lexi, and Lord Grael. It is said that the year is 2504 which is way off of the prequel book 0.5 which mentions it being year 2324 when the 7 women crashed onto the planet. It annoys me to not have continuity but it didn’t affect the overall story at all. This book was underwhelming and abrupt. There was no lead up, no development of feelings, and no indication that Lexi might also feel the mating bond that Grael did. I am totally understanding and accepting of insta love when reading books where there is a fated mate situation, because that is how it works for them, but the first kiss in this book was so random and sudden. Lexi basically just plants one on him mid conversation. It felt so out of place. Maybe if it had happened during Lexi’s POV, it would have made more sense, but seeing it from Grael’s POV was just odd. Both narrators did a good job in this book. I enjoyed listening to them. This book ends with 40 minutes remaining and goes into a preview of book 3. I am still interested in continuing this series. It is fun. 3 stars for book 2.
