Publisher's summary

Secret identities are hard to keep.

Sora finds this to be doubly true after meeting the struggling Burkhard Clan and the mischievous Ravi. The wind dragon has stolen his breath, and heart, away. Sora suspects he might have found his mate.

But his inability to be truthful with Ravi eats at Sora. When the Jaeggi attack, Sora can’t keep his secrets any longer. Not when Ravi is in the center of the war raging around them. He has to reveal who he really is. It’s the only way to be with Ravi and give the Burkhards the help they need.

Sora’s secret could tip the scales to save them all.

Loved!

Sora and Ravi were absolutely perfect for one another. I loved Ravi from the beginning so seeing him with a calmer mage was a perfect balance for the wind dragon. I love this series and the narration was amazing.

I love this series!

I think this one is my favorite so far because: Ravi! Where Ravi goes, chaos and destruction quickly follows! I have so thoroughly enjoyed all of these books. It doesn't get much better than mages and Dragons with ensuing shenanigans. These two authors are auto-buys for me, no question. And Joel Leslie is easily one the THE BEST audiobook narrators/ performers out there. Highly recommend!!!!

Still like the series

Okay first off I’m not gay and I’m not homophobic or some other kind of shit, but I still like listening to these kind of stories because basically all teen young adult books are in the romance category and the normal heterosexual couple is becoming vanilla for me and I’m asexual so it doesn’t matter either way in being bias.Anyway so for this story we get Ravi which is honestly my favorite character for obvious reasons and we get his mate Sora which is an interesting match to Ravi’s personality and there are even more funny bits in this story which is my favorite part. Also for the sake of being a critic I have to ask how come sora dosent have such a heavy accent as halmony ,because didn’t sora come straight from Japan and the grandma has more of an accent also I’m Korean and my halmony’s dont sound like that

P.S sorry for my spelling 😜

My Favorite Dragon Got His Mage

I loved the romance, but there was surprising amount of world building. I can't wait for my next visit to Bercart Castle.

There be dragons

In this third installment of the dragons and the mages who love them, we have the story of Ravi and Sora.

Ravi is a dragon who is always moving and doing pranks. Sora is an older mage who along with his clan, has been in hiding since the dragon war. Being that they are mates, it's pretty much instalove.

So it's usually the mage who is kidnapped, but in this one Ravi the dragon is the one who gets taken by the bad mage clan. Sora gets to be sexy and goes to find him.

I loved the story and as always Joel Leslie made the story even better.

ᗩᗷՏOᒪᑌTᗴᒪY ᖴᗩᑎTᗩՏTᎥᑕ

perhaps my favorite so far!! although i have thoroughly enjoyed the entire series, and i absolutely adored North & Warin in ‘𝘞𝘪𝘴𝘩', i’m pretty sure that Ravi is 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 my favorite dragon.

Joel Leslie always does a phenomenal job, but may have outdone himself with this series. i can’t wait to hear what’s he’s done with Nikki & Gunter in ‘𝘌𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴'!!

enjoyed it

📖 Story comment: Good pace, likeable characters - Sora and Ravi are a hoot!
This is probabably my favorite so far, Sora and Ravi are a great pair, their banter is entertaining, the characters are well developed and we learn alot about who they are. The pace was good and the world building continues to develop and the story is progressing nicely to its conclusion.

🎧 Narrator comment: Joel Leslie is a master voice actor and he captures Ravi and Sora's characters brtilliantly. His voices are consistent from earlier books, he has good cadence, inflections and intonations and it's easy to distinguish all the characters from each other. Overall an excellent performance and he's done a delightful job bringing this world to life.

Better, but..

This book was more in line with the first book but suffers from many of the same problems.

A dragon and mage meet and instantly fall in love. Little other plot develops. Some is alluded to but not actually pursued.

The relationships portrayed are pretty idealized and even for a fantastical setting, stretch credulity.

The sex is unnecessary and becomes more distracting than erotic.

The narrator does a good job bringing these characters to life but...that poor man has to do so many characters with accents. Some blur together but all considered that's forgivable.
