Publisher's Summary

In his first novel, Look Who It Is!, Alan told his story ('oh and what a life') with his unique twist of natural, observational and tongue-in-cheek humour that made him famous.

Alan Carr described his life story in his own words, from growing up in a football-mad family in Northampton to his rise as one of Britain's best-loved comedians. And now he is ready to divulge the next chapter in bursts of hilarious Technicolor.

"Brilliant second book, full of the stuff we want to hear about."

His 1st book was good, but this covers all the stuff for the period we really want to hear about.
Honest, revealing and all read by Alan in his own unique way. Perfect.

This book has got me through a difficult time, made me laugh when I needed one, distracted me from my worries & left me feeling better by the end.

One of the most enjoyable books this year.

    Thank you Alan!

    Story
    "Thoroughly entertaining"

I had listened to Alan's first book and found it to be one of the funniest autobiographies I had read/listened to. I guess I didn't dare hope that this would be as good but it absolutely is. The narration is funny and engaging - it really sounds like Alan is enjoying himself. I found myself laughing out loud in public on several occasions.
There are some wonderfully touching moments too. Alan is not afraid to be vulnerable and self deprecating. This is a joyfully unpretentious book about the world of celebrity and this man navigating his way through it, often with hilarious results.

    Story
    "Cute, Funny and Truthful "

Having always loved Alan Carr, both from his live shows, his previous book and his TV shows, I was looking forward to reading this book.
The book is read really well, Alan tells funny and sad stories well, and you can feel such a connection with him.
I would definitely recommend this book to all who need a good laugh, and of course any fans of Alan!

    Story
"Interesting, well read but not as funny as before."

Going into Alanatomy I was very intrigued about were He could go next after the brilliant "Look Who It is". After finishing this audiobook I have come to the conclusion that I did like it, it's very well read as the author does a excellent job as only Alan carr can do.

The story is in interesting and insightful as he recounts the "Friday/Sunday night project" and all the amazing guests he has has go on "chatty man" and all the antics they got up to. The problems I have with the story is it not that funny, granted it made me smile a few rime but never laughing out load. The joke sometimes just fall a bit flat, maybe it's because Alan has changed so much in the year between both of his books and so has his humor to a point or maybe its because I'm becoming old. The fact that Alan repeats some stories he told be for in his last book or in stand up also hurts the story .

The anatomical chapter head gimiick also wears a bit gratin and thin at times even though it fit the books title and there of laying bare for all to s like a peice of meat that is picked on by vultures (fans). This also go inti the fact that this audio does not know where it want to be in its style some times I wants to be an audio book with Alan reading it aloud some times it want to be a book being read and some times it just wants to be a 1 way conversation..

To Conclude would I recommend Alanayomy yes but get the first audiobook its way better with a more funny story and style of "one way conversation"
