The Royal Road hit arrives in print! Start the series with The Blood Orchard War Arc, the first arc of Berry Barry.

“What? So I’m a damn blueberry now?”

Yes, Barry. Yes you are.

Barry just wanted to get through life. Working a useless job by day, drinking at a forgotten bar by night. It was a miserable cycle, but one he grew attached to over time.

Then Barry died.

Waking up, he found himself in an enormous orchard, brimming with color, fresh air, and vast oceans of blue sky. Unfortunately he also found armored insects, dark castles, and a world of powerful magic. How will Barry, the common calypso blueberry, ever hope to survive?

Through the power of evolution. That’s how.

Berry Barry is a gothic fantasy LitRPG about evolution. For fans of Hot Topic, fruit salad, and books.

A bit of set up but worth it in the end.

Took a bit to get moving but it's well set up for a promising book 2. The performance was great. Overall, it's worth the credit.

creative yet painfully cringy

I've listened to over 400 audiobooks in the last 5 years. this is the first time I truely felt like a book deserved a low review.

To quote the main character Barry the berry (with 2 hours and 19 minutes left)

Goddxxm am I as useless as heII in my own story.

The jokes are obvious puns. The narrator's voices start out fine but eventually are all screetchy
slowly
spoken
death
rattles
with
every
single
word.

listen if you have nothing better to dive into and definitely not as a first book in the gamelit genre.

Way too many forced puns

The bad:
I usually love these kinds of books but this is probably one of the worst books I've ever finished reading.

The puns were extremely forced, often to the detriment of flow and pasing of the book. I never got into the flow of listening to it and kind of had to force myself to finish.

The good:
This premise is quite unique and interesting to listen to and when the puns are well timed they are extremely enjoyable.

The narrator did a good job and was quite pleasing to listen to.

If you adjust your expectations before going into the book I expect you will enjoy it more than I did.

Happy listening 🙂

What a delightful story

This was so cute and fun. A grown adult isekaid to a world with a system but he comes back as a blueberry. No arms, no legs, no neck. Just a talking blueberry. That and the hijinks that follow

It's all pun and games :)

This book is like a 90's sitcom, in all the good ways, it is fun in a silly way, light and has a unique premise. I recommend reading this between long novels as a funny low stakes and silly book to end a day with.

Comedic genius

It has everything, rpg elements, stats, berries, and more. Highly entertaining, close 2nd on comedy to DCC. Really enjoyed it both for its litrpg aspects and its comedic elements. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review

Was good

It was funny, punny, and had some really good references to other litrpg. I would recommend
