A Galaxy Aflame....

The universe has gone dark. Interstellar communications has been lost across the Inner Sphere, threatening the corporate giant ComStar - and maybe civilization itself. Risking everything on a last chance for survival, ComStar has kidnapped the engineering genius Tucker Harwell, hoping he can unravel the mystery of the blackout. But Tucker isn’t just working on why it happened...he’s also trying to figure out who’s behind it.

Meanwhile, Khan Malvina Hazen solidifies her hold on a purified Clan Jade Falcon while hunting for the next enemy to crush under the talons of her brutal Mongol Doctrine. Hundreds of light-years away, Clan Wolf is carving out territory along the Lyran Commonwealth/Free Worlds League border - and Alaric Wolf is primed to make his moves in the halls of power.

Plans years in the making begin to come together across hundreds of star systems, and secrets hidden for decades will finally be revealed while an empire goes up in flames....

Battletech… I desire more.

First off, this is the first book I have read or listened to from any timeline later than clan invasion.
While I still prefer the earlier timelines this book was well written enough to get me interested in reading more of the newer books.

The narrator performance is great in this and the Grey death trilogy. The only complaint I have if Tren Sparks is to be the main narrator for Battletech is that I want all the books NOW and he can only do one at a time.

More stomp stomp pew pew please!

So far, so pretty good?

Not going to lie, Alaric is a bit of a Mary Sue. Only a few hours in, so maybe he'll grow on me. Story in general is interesting and narration is good.

Side note, we really need more battletech novels, please. Don't bother with abridged versions though. Full novels only, please.

Top Teir Battletech

Very good Battletech book! Great mech fights, good story, and engaging characters. I really enjoyed the characters and what struggles they went through. Lots of great faction turmoil going on. Lots of backstabbing! This book embodies the spirit of Battletech!

And Tren Sparks nailed it as always.

A wolf ride!

This was a fantastic story, a political science fiction action drama. I highly recommend this book!

The voice acting by Trent sparks is also fantastic as well.

Good story ruined by sound effects.

You can read the other reviews for an overall idea. I will just say they tried to make this audio more interesting by adding some sound effects like radio feedback for those talking over the radio and such. But NO ONE wants to listen to people talking while chewing, glugging water, whining or other body functions. No sound effects for fighting or machinery just ways to annoy your listening with body functions.

A great story.

Many interesting characters, well plotted out, good narration and writing. I hope they keep producing more unabridged BattleTech books on Audible.
