Publisher's summary

Please note the run-time of this production. It is a novella, not a full-length book.

The North Yorkshire moors are always a magical place, but they’re particularly enchanting at the holidays... especially if one gets to travel back in time to a Victorian Christmas.

For Bronwyn Dale, it is the stuff of dreams. Fancy dress balls, quirky small-town traditions, even that classic one-horse open sleigh, complete with jingle bells. There’s just the tiny problem of the butterfly effect. How does a time traveler make a difference without disrupting the future forever?

A Lovely Holiday Tale

My only complaint about this novella is that I wish it was longer. A Stitch in Time was easily one of my favorite listens of 2020, and I was so excited when I managed to snag this audiobook with a promo credit. It really picked up right where the first book left off, and I was sucked right back into the story. Truly, this is the best kind of escapism.

Delightful!

I absolutely loved this novella! The story is full of imagery of theVictorian Christmas season, and the characters' relationships left me smiling with definite holiday "warm fuzzies."

In between Novel of beloved couples

This is a continuation after Lord William and Brawnalyn gets together and before Rosalinda story, a definite must read novella. I hoped for a tad bit more details of the birth so I am looking for another novel in hopes to find a continuation of the storyline. Absolutely remarkable and well written novel that is full of storyline that keeps you so interested that you are left wanting more.

Same Great Narrator From Book 1

This little novella was quite a treat if you liked the Stitch series. It was a quick read and gives a great view of "what happens next" from the first story, as well as what happens "in between" the other two books.

It's short and to the point. It has a little drama, a little action, a little romance, and a little history.

More of a TELL all

This reads like an easy read Victorian era history pamphlet . It’s the main character narrator stopping mid story lines to fully explain what would really be happening in Victorian times as opposed to modern day. There is a bit of story going on a ghost does show up… but perhaps this is a lead up to spin off story lines… who knows it would be better if it were free not worth the $4 plus definitely not worth a credit!

Ballgowns and Butterflies

Ballgowns and Butterflies by Kelley Armstrong
A Stitch in Time series book 1.5. Time travel holiday historical and contemporary romance novella. Revisit the couple from the first book. Best read after the first book to avoid spoilers.
Bronwyn flies home after the semester ends to spend the holiday with William in their ancestral home. The house is dark but he has a surprise for her.

So sweet. Holiday traditions and love are evident in the story. Bronwyn worries about the Butterfly effect and their love is the glue in each century. It was lovely to know they have been able to make their very different times, habits and connections work for them.

Previously published in an anthology called Upon a Winter Sky.

🎧 I alternated between an ebook copy and an audiobook. The narrator, Samantha Brentmoor, did a wonderful job with voice differences and drama. I enjoyed the performance at my regular speed of 1.2 without feeling it needed to be faster.

A bite-sized Stitch in Time

This book is part of the "A Stitch In Time" series as a lovely addendum to afore mentioned book. William and Bronwyn are settling into their "impossible situation" and making it work as best they can. Bronwyn is returning from a semester of teaching in Toronto, to Thorne Manor in High Thornesbury.

Almost immediately, one is caught up in the writing and sweet banter between our two progtagonists.

I very much enjoyed this novella, adding to the Thorne's adventures. If you enjoyed A Stitch In Time, you'll definitely enjoy this. :)
