Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling author Aileen Erin.

Seventeen-year-old Tessa McCaide has come a long way since her abrupt entrance into the world of werewolves, but she still has just as far to go before she’s comfortable with turning full wolf. In the meantime, she’s avoiding the topic of shifting to four legs any way she can. Thankfully her mate, Dastien Laurent, is quite the distraction.

When she finds her best friend, Meredith, getting sick in the bathroom, Tessa knows something’s majorly wrong. Meredith was cursed years ago, and the dark magic kept her wolf dormant - only now the wolf is awake, and that same spell is killing her.

Tessa has no intention of sitting around while Meredith wastes away. Even if it means playing with magic she doesn’t understand, she’ll do anything to save Meredith’s life. Including bargaining with the local coven of witches and its crazed leader, whose only goal is getting Tessa to join the witchy ranks.

Can Tessa save her friend without losing herself?

A 52,000-word novella.

"There is no word to describe how much I love everything about this book.” (Feli, The Four Eyed Cat)

It was much shorter, but a very good storyline still. Highly recommend this series for any supernatural and romance fans

I’m a big fan of paranormal books!

Love the narrator, she does a fabulous job! The story is good but could have lived without the French “love talk” it was gage worthy. Other than that i enjoyed the book.

Tessa is learning as she goes.

As Dastien&Tessa grow closer, we get to see the beginning of Meredith&Donovan love story. It is my favorite scene in the book! I don't want to give away the exciting result of it all! Because of this, the book, Shattered Pack is coming soon and I am super excited about that!! Aileen Erin in awesome at storytelling! Elizabeth Evans gives an excellent performance!

A lot of repetition

I do still like the story and the heroine. The hero is kind of ho hum, but he seems nice in a beige way. I like that the author didn't throw them into bed, but there isn't any wooing going on. It's just him telling her not to do things and her telling him he's not going to tell her what to do, repeatedly. As a matter of fact, repetition of words and phrases is my biggest problem with book 2. I felt like this had too much filler, but I still am invested in the basic plot and characters.

The addiction continues

Tessa is forced to face her coven family to save her best friend. Her cousins are happy to see her and try to help her the best they can, but the crazy coven leader is doing everything she can to get Tessa away from the werewolves and mute that new part of her. Neither Tessa or her mate are OK with that, so Tessa is forced to try to figure out her magic on her own. The story takes place in a very short time frame, and it makes things quite stressful. If you love action adventure with a little angst and some romance, you’ll love this next book in the series!

On Repeat

This boom stays in rotation! I love this series. I will say Tessa is a better woman than me because Shannon is a brat! Anyhoo Aileen Erin is a phenomenal writer and Elizabeth Evans narration is top notch.

Love it

I love the story. I hate that they had to change who was reading the book but I understand that had to happen sometimes. It took a chapter or two to switch how Tessa sounded in my head. I really enjoy the books. I hate that the other books audible was pushed back… but I will wait patiently for them!

too much religion

faith is based upon that which cannot be proven without faith their is no manipulation without manipulation their is no fear and without fear their is no power and that is all religion is a way for the few to gain power over the many RELIGION NEEDS TO END it is out dated and in the long run does more harm than good just look at the history of the world most wars were started because one group believe in a different god than another and they all think the way they believe is the truth books for YA need to stop perpetuating this believe in invisible friends grow up you aren't 5 year's old you don't need a invisible friend be self-sufficient and stop "believing" in what cannot be proven
