Publisher's summary

As an a'ani warrior, my life matters little. Cloned from the same matter as thousands of others, I am but one of many. Here on the ice planet, though, I can start over. I can become my own person, have my own needs, my own wants.

I know what I want. I have known since the moment I arrived.

Her name is Angie. She is human, with sad, lonely eyes, and a very pregnant belly. To her, I am not just another clone. I am Vordis, the one who laughs at her jokes, tends to her needs, and makes her smile. I will do anything to make her mine.

But my brother and fellow clone Thrand thinks the same way, and he's just as determined to win her. Will I have to destroy my bond with my brother to win my female? Or will he cause a rift between us that's impossible to mend?

Contains mature themes.

By far my favorite narrator combo

Love love love Ruby’s books I’ve. been reading her books since the first Barbarian came out and was instantly hooked, and the books just keep getting better! I love how swoon worthy Vordis is and how the two narrators give life to the characters, makes it a great listen for my commute, I could listen to them individually or together all day! I vote they keep getting paired for her books they killed it!

An Icehome/IPB favorite

This is one of my favorite Icehome/Ice Planet Barbarians books. The story stands up no matter how many times I reread it. We finally get to see below Angie’s calm, almost withdrawn demeanor to the sharp wit paired with intense loneliness underneath. I love the way Vordis and Angie’s relationship develops over time, and that Vordis and Thrand’s relationship as brothers is nearly as important to the story. Both A’ani clones crack me up with their earnest yet confused determination.

Fun and sexy

Ruby Dixon gives the heat and the humor along with the HEA
It's getting to that point that is enjoyable. if I can listen to a narrator and not has to change the speed or anything that's a 5 star
Thanks for the new series and the humorous and heated resonance pairings.

Good story

I loved the story I just wish the ending gave a bit more information as to what happened with Angie and her gladiator after they were mated.

Book was good. Voice narrative, not so much.

I enjoyed the book, definitely liked how this story was different than her blue people books. But I felt like I much rather have read it instead of listened to it. The way Felicity did her male voice just made the whole thing cringe worthy for me. That was the only down fall for me. Noelle Bridges should do all Ruby Dixon books in my opinion.

Angie and Vordis.

Another hit from Ruby Dixon in the Icehome series. Angie has her sweet little baby and gets her hot sauce too. Vordis gets to be himself and not just another clone. I love all the new guys and gals. It’s good to watch them and see who they end up with. Narrators are good.

Poor Vordis

It's hard to break out of the hive mentality to be an individual with your own wants and desires. But when you do . . . It was funny seeing Vordis experience all these things and emotions he never thought he would or never thought was possible to experience. And thank gawd he did. Angie absolutely needed him.
