Rob

Finding your mate is for other people. Look, I’m happy for the success that my buddy’s had with his new dating app, but I think it’s all a bit of hogwash. I’m more invested in flirting with the bartender than any of the dates I’ve been matched with! So imagine my surprise when I see my hot bartender popping up as one of my top matches....

Jonah

I’ve been watching Rob bring his dates into the bar where I work, and honestly? It’s hard to hold back the jealousy. When I let my sister convince me to sign up for the dating app Rob’s been cruising, I’m hopeful that being matched to him might make him take me more seriously. And it does. But there’s just one problem - we’re fated mates...and Rob doesn’t seem to know how to handle that.

A Fighting Chance is a standalone mpreg shifter audiobook featuring a hot new shifter dating app, the consequences of dating your new boss, and of course, a HEA sure to make your heart swoon. This audiobook and every other audiobook in the Hunter's Haven series can be listened to in any order.

Believing In Someone Else

A troubled past, can make it hard to move ahead in our personal lives. Rob’s mother was abandoned by her mate. She was left a broken woman, who spent her life going through the motions. Rob is determined never to let that happen to him. Jonah wants what many of us want. Someone to love and a family of his own. Rob knows Jonah is his true mate, but he is afraid. Afraid to become too attached to Jonah, and afraid to get hurt himself. Rather than take the risk, Rob breaks it off with Jonah. Jonah is devastated. He is in love with Rob. Add to that, a baby is on the way. Jonah is a mess. Rob and Jonah will work out their problems. You need to come to Hunter’s Haven and see how they get it done. The narration by J. Bordeaux was great. Thank you Liam for a great addition to the series. It was really great.

An enjyable addition in this series

J. Bordeaux's narration adds another depth to this book. His vocalizations bring these characters to life so much more than just reading the printed words ever could, for this listener/reader anyway. The extensive and at times simmering flirtation between Rob and Jonah is exceptionally hot. Even though Jonah realizes that they are fated mates; it seems that Rob just does not get it or is so into one failed date after another, that he just does not see the forest for the trees; or in this case Jonah. I so enjoyed reading this book, but having the opportunity to listen to it on Audible what a difference. You will not be disappointed in this series! An avid reader in Rock Tavern, NY.

Cute and Cliche

A cute simple romance. A typical omegaverse tale with a dose of commitment phobia. Despite being rather cliche it was a pretty cute story and really hits the spot if you're looking for an omegaverse hit. Includes Fated mates, heats, and shifter packs.

Sassy characters, amazing narration

I really liked this story. It is very well written. I loved the flirtation between the main characters, but also al the depth that tried to keep them apart once they gave each other a first chance. I found the narrator very compelling and it suited the story perfectly.

I loved it

Was a beautiful story. Well written with enough angst to keep it engaging. J. Bordeaux does a great job.

Quick, sweet listen

I loved the story and the cast of characters, I haven't read or listened to the first in the series and it was fine even though the characters were featured in this one, It might have made it more fulfilling to know their story but this can definitely be a stand alone. Narrator does a great job and made this a great listen.

Don't Drive with This One

From the first lines of this book, I was laughing so hard! Not a good book to be listening to while snorting coffee, and trying to hang on to the mountain pass road.

Rob had a life changing event affect him at only seven years of age. While he appears to have his life well laid out, and his personal life a bachelor's dream, he refuses to become involved romantically with any man he's hooked up with.

Bartender Jonah loves his job, and enjoys the flirty banter between himself and handsome Rob. When Rob purchases the pub Johan works at, the two spend more concentrated time together. Friendship takes on a new meaning, and an unexpected heat changes friendship to something more.

There are laughter and tears in this standalone love story. And, a Liam Kingsley HEA.

Narrator J. Bordeaux does an amazing job with the characters, as well as nailing the amusing one liners and quips. All in all, a delightful read.

Dating the boss may be a mistake....

I'm not one to repeat the story line in my reviews. What I can say is how much I enjoyed the story, characters, and narration. I a;ways enjoy Liam Kingsley's books and have now been introduced to his audio books. The key, in my opinion, to a successful audio book is not only the author's manuscript but the chosen narrator. Both are a hit in this audio book.
