A great beginning

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The authors and the narrator are new to me and I'm glad that I now know their work.

The story is pretty fast paced and that was good. It is well told and the characters are well developed. The narrator did a great job with the story, his pitch was perfect, the pace was great, the voices were clear and fit each character.

The story has wolves, mages, love and pain, and good and evil. So most bases are covered. The angst level is low to medium but I suspect as the series gets further along the angst level will increase.

I look forward to reading/listening to futures books from this pair and to future works from the narrator.

Would relisten to again

Overall I loved this series. The book is well written, and legit questions that popped in my head (thinking about the characters situations) as the book went on were answered~ I love the concept that Mage's live longer than wolves, and that it the characters face their problems instead of letting them linger. My only problems are that book 3 is not on audible yet (or even out as of this review), and that I wanted the book to last longer. Honestly, this series was a fun read and it the book moved at a great speed.

The narration was great loved that I felt the emotions and thoughts of each character. Really pulled me in, like I was there in the book as the events were going on.

Not a bad series

I enjoyed the book and it had some good moments, it is typical Liam style. But like usual I am interested in the overall plot line and how it will go. The narrator kept my attention and definitely did a good job of bringing a picture for me.

Loved It

Loved the story! It is a relief to finally have a fantasy book that supports the Gay community. BTW, Leo sounds extremely sexy!

Sadly, the reader was extremely quick, I couldn't tell if he was reading the character's perspective or them talking because the reader rarely seemed to take a breath. I had to slow the reading down by .5 in order to understand what was going on.

Other than that, it was amazing! I fantasize about having a man in my life like Leo!

Great read! I loved everything about it and I can't wait to read the next book.

An interesting intro into the world of gay romance novels

This book has subjects that I’ve never before looked into.
Very well written. I learned a lot.

great listen!

What a good book. I usually read a book before I listen to it but I did not have time this time around. I have to say I really enjoyed what felt like surprises to me. The narrator did a good job bringing the charters to life for me. I felt like I was there in the story in my chair with my ice coffee just watching the story go by. I have really enjoyed the book and i cant wait to see more in the series.

To dramatic

The narration is to fast and Dramatic.. made it hard to get through. Nice Story tho

Mages and Shifters

Forbidden Magic is book 1 in the Magic and Claws series. Zac, a mage, has moved to Porter's Peak not knowing shifters live there. Leo, a wolf shifter and Alpha of his Pack, comes across Zac and isn't happy he moved to town, but his wolf has other ideas. This is a very enjoyable story as these to come together to save each other and the town from evil magic. I recommend this book and look forward to more in the series.
Narrator BJ Whimpey does an amazing job. He really brings the characters to life. His evil mage voice is truly terrifying.

I really enjoyed this!

I actually really enjoyed this listen. I found the story to be interesting having a fated mating of a shifter and a mage. Especially since there was some overlap in their histories. It was fast paced and kept moving at a good pace.

This was a new to me narrator, but I enjoyed his character voices and setup for more emotional scenes. Overall, I found this to be a great story.
