Publisher's summary

He's her darkest fantasy....

After years of struggling, Haven Daly has finally accepted that she's nuttier than a fruitcake. Why else would she see visions of a beautiful but tormented male every night...and actually believe she can talk to him, even feel his touch? But thanks to those dream journeys, she can paint images nobody else on earth can duplicate. In each brush stroke, she captures the blatant masculinity and raw desire in his eyes that promise he's coming for her...and soon.

She's the light that keeps him going....

Quade Kayrs has already suffered a lifetime of pain and torture. Completely isolated, he kept his sanity thanks to one beautiful female, a vision with kind emerald eyes. In the end, her soft voice led him out of hell. Now, naked and alone, he's in a strange world that bears little resemblance to the one he left behind. All he knows is Haven. All he wants is Haven. His final mission? To protect her from the evil hunting them both - whether she likes it or not...

liked it but...

I liked this book but I was kind of hoping that Haven would learn her powers... early in the story Quaid said he would teach her how to fight but never did... other than that another great story.I kind of want a stort about Paxton... to see what is really going on with him.

Are we both crazy together?

I am I in love with Rebecca Zanetti. I personally do not understand how she keeps on putting out these amazing stories time after time. With this series being as long as it is you would assume that she would run out of ideas or everything will become redundant however that is not the case. So far we have not had a female main character who has gone through what Haven has gone through.

Throughout this entire story I was rooting for her and Quade from the beginning to the end. She has gone through so much in her life that I just wanted their relationship/love story to be smooth sailing. But Rebecca politely let me know that that was not going to happen. I loved all the twists and turns and I also loved their first interaction.

Haven even thought that she was losing her mind and Quade thought that he was as well. I loved the way that Quade was so tender and caring with Haven even though he is this ancient hybrid who really is not the cuddly type.

We've learned a lot about what is going to happen as well as what Hope's role is within this entire showdown. I do not believe that the ending that was given to us is the end. Only because there are still about three or four main characters that still do not have mates. I am rooting for the next story to be about Benny because that person right there is just hilarious.

When Quade reunited with his brothers I was just so happy for him and he just melded right into the group. I'm also very interested about how the family became what they are now. In the first story arc none of the current Kayrs' knew that they had demon blood however in this story arc the brothers know they have demon blood. I just want to know which parent was the demon and which one was the vampire. I'm also curious about Benny's family.

Since all of the seven are hybrids I want to know if demons and vampires we're allowed to intermingle because in the first story arc they were completely separate and it was a big nono that they mingled. I do believe that there is a lot of questions that need to be answered and I am in it for the Long Haul. If Rebecca decides to write 50 million books in the series I will read all 50 million of these stories. I am very excited for the next installment.

Phenomenal Story!

Wow, Wow, Wow!! I absolutely LOVE this series!! I don't know how Rebecca Zanetti is able to write all of these characters with their own individual and unique personalities and still keep her readers engaged and begging for more!! This story is just another success and I LOVED LOVED LOVED it!!

This story is centered around Quade and Haven's relationship and let me tell you... it starts off hot and fast and it just keeps getting better!! The dynamics between Quade and Haven are simply fantastic. I love the sweetness and ... I don't know the correct word... maybe 'honesty' between Quade and Haven. I found myself (again) laughing, crying, and sucked into this world. I thoroughly enjoyed Quade thinking toothpaste is 'delicious' and wanting to acquire more so he could eat it all the time, the nod to the movie Airplane ("Don't call me Shirley"), and the reference to a rose ceremony. The subtle hints to 'daily life', that I could relate to (& I assume other readers will relate to), make this story even more enduring. I love how Quade & Haven both learned to trust and love again throughout this story. Sure, in real life there aren't vampires, witches, Fae, shifters, etc, however the relationships that are built throughout this series is what makes it so fantastic. If you haven't read any of the books in this series I would highly recommend you taking some time and diving in to this world... you definitely won't regret it!! Happy Reading (I can't wait for the next book in this series!!)

Loved the book

I loved Hero's Haven. Rebecca wrote good strong characters. This book was non stop action.
The narration left plenty to be desired. It wasn't the narrator's fault, she did good. I would rather have females for the women's part and males for the men's part. I think it makes the audio flow much better.

🌻Why the narrator change?🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

This story was ok. I’m not sure if it was just the change of narrator or the story itself but, this wasn’t as sexy as the prior books. I really hate it when a long time narrator, of a series, changes. I get so used to the characters’ voices and the cadence of the performance, and the change takes me out of “ their world”.

No matter what, any new Dark protectors novel will be an automatic download but, I hope the author decides to return to the original narrator.😭
