The groundbreaking audio production of what Los Angeles Times Magazine called “the greatest epic in the history of comic books” continues. Leading perhaps the best cast ever assembled in audio, James McAvoy returns to voice Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams, in The Sandman: Act III, the third installment of the New York Times best-selling audio saga. Award-winning audio trailblazer Dirk Maggs adapts the blockbuster DC graphic novel series written by Neil Gaiman (Good Omens) into another fully immersive listening experience, presented for the first time in breathtaking 3D audio.

In Act III, we follow Morpheus on a grand journey to take care of family business. He visits with his son Orpheus (Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page), an act that brings with it profound consequences. Accompanied by Delirium (Kristen Schaal, Bob’s Burgers), he tracks down their estranged brother, Destruction (David Harewood, Supergirl), the only member of the Endless ever to abandon their post. And at an inn at the intersection of all worlds, a group of travelers are forced together by a storm that threatens to destroy reality itself, with grave repercussions for Morpheus and the rest of the Endless.

All the original cast returns, including Kat Dennings as Death, Aidan Turner as Cluracan, and Neil Gaiman himself as The Narrator, joined by Harewood and other new cast members Wil Wheaton (Star Trek: The Next Generation), KJ Apa (Riverdale), Shruti Haasan (Race Gurram), and more.

It’s time to close your eyes and listen. Once again.

I've experienced the other two performances of the sandman. this one while have exemplary production and mostly amazing voice work lacks a solid story. It's as if a few dozen short stories were put in a blender and mixed.

while worth listening to, I keep waiting a more focused storyline. the last part was more interesting... giving mini stories that could have easily been produced into full blown ones.
overall I'm left unsatisfied and greatly annoyed that this unbelievable and amazing professional crew didn't do a different and more deserving story. Imagine if they did Dune, The Hobbit or The Wheel of Time....my God that would be Oscar or whatever worth....sigh

I keep thinking get on with it

The Sandman is one of my top 3 favorite comics and this season or act featurez my favorite story arc of the series Brief Lives. this is the one I was most looking forward to listening to. this is without a doubt the best audio drama I have ever listened to on audible, certainly the one with the some of the biggest amount of great actors. i see the same complaints that the first two acts that had is that half the time Moroheus isn't the focus of the chapters, well yo anyone who still doesn't know that's exactly how the comics are. since it's looking less and less like we will get a season 2 of the show I'm so happy that we will at least get to finish the comicsin this medium with the 4th and final act.

Another great act

I literally renewed my audible subscription the instant I discovered this came out, and I finished the audiobook in two days. The voice acting is amazing, to no surprise. The soundtrack’s only fault is that it is not available for download on Spotify or iTunes as I would listen to it repeatedly till the end of days. Neil Gaiman is an artist in every sense of the word, and every decision made in creating this series has been utter perfection. I am filled with both excitement for the next volume and dread that this series will one day be over.

One of the best audiobooks, and I cannot wait for more

I was very excited to hear Act 3 was on its way. It is filled with larger scale stories tying up questions in loose ends from the previous acts. Like the ax before it it's filled with wonder and mystery that feels very satisfying in the end. I think I might like this one better than Act 2. If they could now just get an act 4 together asap, that would be great.

Another Incredible Journey in the Dreaming
