Rocco Schiavone est le genre de sous-préfet romain qu'on adore détester : mine grincheuse, ton sarcastique et langage fleuri. Dans ce tome, il se promène dans son passé, déambule dans la Ville éternelle qu'il connaît par cœur, fréquente quelques malfrats et fume des joints, de préférence le matin.
