Jedna z nich, ta s nachovými plachtami, se jí zalíbí. Hraje si s ní, pustí ji po řece, ale lodička jí uplave. Assol její plavbu sleduje, dojde až k místu, kde řeka ústí do moře.

Alexander Grin is known for his strange and chilling tales, and this one is certainly one of the oddest of them all. The author would like us to consider what would happen if a creation not only outsmarted its creator but became truly dangerous.

While Grin suffered through prison sentences and multiple exiles during his lifetime, his fiction often features fantasy worlds far more romantic and enticing than the harsh realities in which he lived. For those of us yet unfamiliar with Grin's work, Forth and Back serves as a perfect introduction to the fanciful creations of one of the great imaginations of the 20th century.
