The Sectiaan invasion has begun, and the Consortium wasn't ready. Major worlds are falling daily to the aliens' superior technology. After reconnecting with an old acquaintance, Hank’s AI companion is on the hunt for more information and it just might bring them closer than ever to Twain. But the old Enemy AI has a few tricks up his sleeve. And while they pursue the villain, the crew also find themselves in the crosshairs. Having angered a shadowy sect, the hunters become the hunted.

Moss and the crew are reveling in their recent success when a cryptic message changes everything. Moss enters a virtual realm to recover the message before returning to the real world to find everything has changed. With his friends in peril, he undertakes a rescue mission outside the relative safety of the city.

The crew have found Codename: Extinction but destroying it will be no easy matter. The Consortium government are wasting time arguing about what to do next and Hank knows that the only course of action is to take matters into his own hands. But he can't do it alone. In addition to his crew, he will need a larger fighting force. And he knows just where to look. But bringing together disparate rebel sects will be no easy task and even if he does, the ancient enemy has plans of his own.
