Leider ist nur ein Grammatikbuch vorhanden, dass zu diesem Zweck ungeeignet ist und so rezitiert der Wanderer aus dem Gedächtnis ein paar religiös angehauchte Texte. Unterstützung erhält er dabei von dem betrunkenen Dorfpriester, der allerdings in der ganzen Eile das falsche Buch - eines mit Liedtexten - mitgebracht hat, und so wird bei der offiziellen Totenandacht eben etwas improvisiert.
