Grateful Memories chronicles 10 years of my life on the road, primarily from 1979 thru 1989, following the Grateful Dead on tour in many different cities across the USA with a core group of friends while recording the music along the way. I describe my adventure while introducing my real life traveling companions, and new friends I meet along the way. Each chapter covers a group of shows or an entire tour, so each one is a story on it's own. It doesn't matter if you start from the beginning or the middle or anywhere in between, each chapter has a beginning, a middle and an end.

After suffering a personal tragedy Abby Sullivan buys a huge old seaside mansion she has never even seen, packs up her life in San Francisco, and moves to Holiday Bay Maine, where she is adopted, quite against her will, by a huge Maine Coon Cat named Rufus, a drifter with her own tragic past named Georgia, and a giant dog with an inferiority complex named Ramos. What Abby thought she needed was alone time to heal. What she ended up with was, an inn she never knew she wanted, a cat she couldn't seem to convince to leave, and a new family she'd never be able to live without.

It's up to Winnie to solve a mystery and save a circus horse. But Winnie faces her own mystery as she struggles to keep her family from changing and to hold on to things as they are. She'll learn to appreciate God, who never changes no matter what else may threaten.

In the second installment of the three-part story, Kelly, Carrie, and Nora are joined by Quinn, who together, revisit the past in the hope of finding answers to a twenty five year old mystery. While the details surrounding the mystery seem to have gaps that can't be explained, things begin to come together after Kelly shares Nora’s story about Cherry with Sam.

The Man Who Liked Lyons, is a short story of a man from the past, a superior race, who has traveled in time to the future. This short story takes place in one day at the zoo where Mr. Kempler (not his real name) is amusing himself by controlling telepathically the other zoo visitors’ actions and the actions of the zoo animals; the Lions are his specialty. He is actually a fugitive from his own time, and two members of his race have come to take them back.

Things go from bad to worse when Zoe and Ellie accompany a group of teens from Zimmerman Academy on a female empowerment retreat while the guys stay home with the kids.

Zak and Zoe fly to Alaska after Zoe is asked by her dog-trainer friend Peter to fly to Moosehead, Alaska, to deliver a search-and-rescue dog to a team who is desperate for some canine help after their own dog is injured during a rescue. A man dies during a dinner party Zak and Zoe are attending, Alex has a famous friend staying with her, a suspicious federal agent shows up creating more questions than answers, and what should be a fairly cut and dried murder investigation turns into a complicated mess, which makes it difficult to tell the good guys from the bad guys.
