Most child advocates agree that fatherlessness goes beyond the boundaries of race and socio-economic status - and is the root of almost every social ill faced by children in our society. Children from fatherless homes are more likely to live in poverty, become involved in drugs, alcohol abuse, and crime, drop out of school, and suffer from health and emotional problems.
