  • dating with trauma part 1
    Oct 3 2025

Dating with trauma — Pt. 1: how being a queer, femme-presenting survivor makes intimacy feel like a science experiment gone wrong: safe feels boring, unsafe feels electric, and sometimes you end up dating the wrong people not because you’re not queer — but because trauma, visibility, and thrill-seeking all team up to make the roster messy.

this is Trauma Mommy Part 1: dating with trauma. reading my messy journal, complaining about men, and being honest about why i—queer femme, horny, and fragile—still end up seeing more dudes than chicks. it’s not because i’m “less gay,” it’s because women often feel safe — and safe feels boring when your brain wants fireworks. add childhood abuse, dissociation during sex, daddy-vampire energy, negging, and catcalls, and you get this beautiful chaos that i call my love life.

i talk about saying “no” with no excuse, why attention is addicting even when it’s gross, and the weird gap between wanting control and wanting to be taken. i riff on age gaps as one example of that bait-and-switch pattern, read journal lines about who i actually am, and end with my bubble metaphor for healing (blow the stupid wand — tiny wins count). funny, horny, dark, and real — part one because this is too big for one episode.

Trauma Mommy Pt.1 — attraction, dissociation, and why safe love feels boring. daddy vampires, saying “no” as a flex, and the small wins of healing.

  • trauma of being r worded
    Sep 26 2025

This week on *Trauma Queen*, I’m joined by my hilarious friend and stand-up powerhouse **Olivia Carter**.

We dive into everything from the trauma of toxic relationships to navigating new love without losing yourself.

We talk comedy, sex, hookup culture, trust issues, and how surviving assault shapes the way we move through the world. We also get into the darker corners of the industry—misogyny in stand-up, the male “ally list” we should really make, and what it means to joke about rape culture without losing your soul (or your spot on stage).

Plus: Epstein conspiracies, Brandy Melville being actual children’s clothes, Joe Rogan asking me if I want kids, and how Olivia once tried hookup culture and immediately said “nah.”If you’ve ever been confused by dating, laughed through your trauma, or wondered if the algorithm is censoring women harder than anyone else—this is your episode.

  • trauma of being misdiagnosed
    Sep 19 2025

:The episode features an interview with Canadian therapist Sarah Hull. The host, Kylie Vincent, and Hall discuss the "trauma of being misdiagnosed" and an underlying fear of the mental health medical field. They also talk about how a lack of understanding of mental health can make people feel "broken" and "stuck". The conversation covers the concept of neuroplasticity and how understanding it can reduce feelings of hopelessness. The discussion further explores the history of mental health diagnoses, including the DSM and the now-removed diagnosis of "hysteria".They connect these historical diagnoses to systemic issues like patriarchy and the misdiagnosis of women and queer people. The episode concludes with a conversation about the general distrust many people have with the medical system and how they can be retraumatized when attempting to seek help.
