    Sep 6 2025

This episode is about Resilience. Now, I know what you’rethinking—‘Is this another “stay positive” lecture?’ Absolutely not! Because here’s the truth: Resilience isn’t about being perfect. It’s about showing up, falling down, and getting back up—messy, clumsy, and all. That's correct Resilience Isn’t about being Perfect, and That’s okay because it's about Progress not Perfection.

And who better to demonstrate this than ourfriend Ralph Soulman? Trust me—this episode will have you nodding, laughing, and maybe even feeling a little less hard on yourself. So grab your tea, sit back, and let’s jump in.”

He’s convinced that if he can ‘just stay positive,’ nothing can gowrong. He’s repeating affirmations in the mirror likehe’s auditioning for a TED Talk. But you know Ralph...

  • Small Wins, Big Peace: Why Little Steps Matter
    Jun 4 2025

“Let’s get real for a moment. Self-care and mental health aren’t about grand gestures. You don’t need to quit your job, move to Bali, or spend hours in therapy daily.

The real magic happens in the small wins—the little choices you make daily that help you feel calm, grounded, and in control.

Here are the 3 main reasons why small wins matter:

    1. They’re achievable. Big goals can feel overwhelming, but small steps are doable.

    2. They build momentum. You have to listen to the full episode to see how.

    3. They boost confidence. There is an ART to it, and my latest ADAPTive.TT approach tells you step by step.

Summary of Key Elements for Episode 5:

    1. Story Segment: Ralph sets small goals to survive a chaotic family lunch.

    2. Insight: Small wins build momentum and confidence for better mental health.

  • Fight, Flight, Freeze, or Fawn: What's Your Stress Response?
    Feb 1 2025

Today, we're revisiting what I call life’s number one skill, which we must learn early through responsibilities given by our parents or primary caregivers. While M. Scott Peck refers to this as discipline, I see it as our response to the constant demands of the moment—a response that can lead to physical and psychological stress as our brain initially reacts with fear.

According to the most recent World Health Organization definition, our mental health is a continuous state of varying well-being, influenced by our adaptive or maladaptive coping mechanisms for everyday stressors. Research broadly categorizes these responses as Fight, Flight, Freeze, or Fawn. Today's episode, as with my friend and client Ralph, explores how these responses shape his daily experience of stress.

  • Ralph Soulman Prepares his not so adaptable daily Mindset STATE of Being For Mindful and Intentional State of Being.
    Jan 18 2025

The therapeutic journey described emphasizes the significance of mindfulness and intentional behavior change in overcoming addictive patterns and fostering mental health. It highlights Ralph's efforts to employ new strategies, referred to as SMAHooBITS, to shift ingrained thinking patterns and core beliefs. The intention behind this approach is to cultivate a non-judgmental awareness of the present moment, akin to the states achieved by spiritual gurus. This journey requires consistent commitment, adaptability, and a focus on mental well-being, in line with the World Health Organization’s definition of health, which encompasses not just the absence of illness but a holistic approach to mental and emotional wellness.

As Ralph prepares to transition into "Episode 2: The Monkey Mine," it will be essential to maintain mindfulness and self-awareness to navigate the challenges of day-to-day life. The ongoing work on mental health and well-being serves as a reminder to remain engaged in the process and embrace a flexible mindset.
