  • Ep 318 - Dealing With Disappointment
    Apr 2 2026

We introverts often carry disappointment as if it proves something about us. I do not believe it does. In this episode I unpack how that belief forms and how it quietly shapes our choices. There is a cycle many of us enter without noticing, where we brace, contract and then confirm our own fears. The real question is not how to avoid disappointment, but how do we stop organising our lives around it. When we loosen that grip, an important shift takes place - we return to choice, to presence, and to a far more grounded way of being.

  • Ep 317 An Introvert's Guide to Change
    Mar 26 2026

Change does not ask for our permission, yet it quietly tests our sense of self. We introverts can find ourselves pulled between staying true and being seen, especially when the environment becomes uncertain.

In this episode I walk through the questions that stop us from reacting blindly and instead bring us back to deliberate choice. Because visibility is not about performance, it is about deciding what we stand for when it counts. Too often we treat obstacles as final when they are simply uncomfortable, and that misjudgment costs us more than the change itself.

What matters is not whether change is happening to us or by us, but whether we respond with clarity or retreat by habit. So the real question is not about change at all, it is whether we step forward or step back because that decides if we are shaping our presence, or quietly disappearing from it.

  • Ep 316 When Uncertainty Shakes Capability
    Mar 19 2026

We introverts can feel deeply unsettled when certainty disappears, especially when we know how important preparation is for us. Yet uncertainty does not strip away our capability, it simply removes the comfort of knowing what comes next. So what if capability is not about certainty at all. What if it is about how we respond when there are gaps, unknowns, and unanswered questions. In this episode I explore how our natural strengths can support us when prediction fails, and why the real shift is not in the situation, but in how we interpret our ability within it.

Uncertainty is not asking you to retreat. It is asking you to engage differently.

  • Ep 315 She's Got No Personality
    Mar 12 2026

A throwaway comment can reveal more about workplace norms than the person chucking it around ever realises. Recently I heard one that made me pause. It sparked a line of questioning about personality, perception and the curious ways quieter people are sometimes judged. We introverts are familiar with the subtle pressure to appear a certain way in professional spaces. Yet I can't help but wonder where the issue really lies. In this episode I explore that tension and invite us to consider what we truly believe about personality and contribution.

    Key Points

    🔑 The personality myth

    🔑 Quiet misread as absence

    🔑 Our introvert depth matters

  • Ep 314 I am NOT Your Patsy
    Mar 5 2026

Right now many people are feeling battered by decisions made by those in power while the rest of us are expected to simply absorb the consequences. For thoughtful introverts this can create deep stress, clouded thinking, and a painful sense of disempowerment meaning we struggle to know where to place our energy. In this episode I challenge that narrative. Drawing on Viktor Frankl's idea of inner freedom, I explore how we reclaim our agency by choosing our response, our attitude, and our actions. We may not control global events or organisational decisions, but we always retain authority over who we choose to be. When we act with courage, compassion, and quiet resolve, we refuse to be anyone's patsy.

  • Ep 313 Introvert Resilience vs Resigned Compliance
    Feb 26 2026

Have you ever been praised for being steady and dependable while quietly drowning under impossible demands? We introverts are often labelled resilient because we do not complain, yet our calm focus is misread as limitless capacity. In this episode I unpack how resilience has been misunderstood and even weaponised, and why being treated like stretch material is not strength. True resilience is flexibility in thought, feeling and behaviour so that we emerge wiser and more able, not unchanged and suppressed. I explore where misinterpretation happens, what it costs us and organisations, and how we can build sustainable resilience without abandoning ourselves. Time to stop confusing compliance with courage and start honouring our humanity.

    Key points

    • Weaponised expectations exposed
    • Compliance is not strength

  • Ep 312 Maintenance - Erasure or Power
    Feb 19 2026

For the first time in over 300 episodes, I bring you a conundrum rather than a conclusion. A single phrase triggered me far more than I expected and it exposed how quickly this introvert can slip back into being easy, agreeable, and compliant without noticing. Low maintenance. Compliment or quiet erasure? This episode explores the meaning we make in real time, how our history filters our reactions, and what happens when guilt and shame slide from behaviour into identity. It is about resilience and resourcefulness, yes, but it is also about self-leadership and the courage to examine our own emotional charge. Same words. Same person. Different meaning. What are you choosing to hear?

    Key Points

    • Assumptions create trouble
    • Context shapes meaning
    • Curiosity before reaction

  • Ep 311 Introvert Authority Through Listening
    Feb 12 2026

This episode is a direct response to the current culture of haste that keeps asking we introverts to hurry up, speak up, and toughen up. I explore how being hustled strips us of one of our most powerful strengths, listening. It is neither quiet compliance, nor polite nodding, but intentional listening that builds trust and authority. We introverts often have the capacity to listen, but capacity alone is not the skill. Listening is active, demanding, and deeply relational, especially in professional spaces that reward noise over nuance. In this episode, I challenge the idea that listening is soft, passive, or optional. If we want to flourish without pretending to be extroverts, listening is not where we retreat, it is where we lead.

    Key points

    • Listening builds authority
    • Capacity is not a skill
    • Trust follows attention
