    Sep 5 2021

    PRAYER

Purpose:  To inspire people to pray about everything so that they can trust God more.

    Introduction:

    • The struggle of dealing with life can make a person make some really bad decisions to stop the struggle.
    • Life can cause some anxiety, the lack of control over something.
    • My anxiety can set in very quickly. I tend to feel so out of control.
    • What do you do when you can’t do anything.
    • When I go through a life situation, I seek the answer of peace from Jesus.

      • Someone ask two artists to paint a picture of what they think peace is. The first artist drew a picture of a cloudless day, the sun shining bright, no bad weather at all, the trees looking very green and standing tall, everything looked perfect. He turned the picture around and said that is peace. He asked the second artist to give us a picture of peace. The artist drew a picture of a thunderstorm, strong blowing winds, the trees bending in the wind, black clouds and under a rock and siting on a rock, he drew a small bird. While the wind blew, and the storm raised, and the trees were blowing back and forth there was this little bird sitting on the rock. The rock was his support right in the midst of the storm.
      • Peace is not the absence of a storm, its standing on our rock, Jesus in the midst of my storm.
    • Prayer is the most powerful answer for peace.
      • I give God my anxiety and he gives me a peace that passes all understanding.
    • Philippians is a letter Paul writes to a church he knows very well. In 2 Corinthians he says They have supported his ministry financially, when no one else would.
    • In chapter 1, Paul glorifies Jesus in his affliction.
    • In chapter 2, Paul shows exhortation to be just like Christ.
    • In chapter 3, Paul presses toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ.
    • In chapter 4, Paul rejoices in the Lord always, no matter what. He is in jail when he tells them to rejoice. Then he says let your joy always be known to everyone.

    Scripture:Philippians 4:4-7

4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

    Subject Sentence: The Way Out

    1. Pray for Everything – vs.6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

      1. The word careful means anxiety. Don’t be captivated by your own anxiety. Anxiety happens when we are out of control.
      2. If you pray for everything, you will be anxious for nothing. If you pray for nothing, you will be anxious for everything. If you pray about somethings, you will be anxious for somethings.
      3.  Pray, Pray, Pray
      4. The lack of prayer will reveal a character flaw in scripture. We have to learn how to be out of control. 1 Peter 5:6-7; 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
        1. We quote this text for those that may be arrogant or full of themselves. But watch the text. This is during struggling times.
        2. How do I humble myself? Cast (Throw) all your care (anxiety) to God. When I do this, I admit to God that I’m out of control and he is in control. So, I give my care to God as a manifestation of my humility.
        3. When you pray and don’t give it to God, you show God you’re not humble.
        4. Give it to me and I will exalt&

  • How To Be Humble
    Aug 29 2021

    HUMILITY

Purpose:  To educate how Jesus demonstrated how to be humble so that we will learn how to be humble in our own lives.

    Introduction:

    • The book of Philippians really doesn’t have a common theme but it is a letter by Paul to the saints at Philippi.
    • He is mostly encouraging them to keep following Jesus Christ.
    • Many times we speak about being humble but today I want to show the steps to being humble according to Christ.

    Scripture:  Philippians 2:1-2

So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.

Subject Sentence: What Would Jesus Do?

    Body:

    1. Glad To Be On The Team – vs.3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

      1. Someone once observed, “The true test of a servant is if you act like one when you are treated like one.” Sometimes we get hung up on our own titles or tenure and need to remember that we really are all just servants.
      2. Servant leadership begins in the mind and heart. This is why Philippians 2:5 challenges us, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” (verse 5). When we start thinking about who we are professionally or the gifts and capabilities we bring to the table, we lose the mind of Christ, and we cease to be a servant leader.
    2. Glad To Help Others – vs.4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

      1. It’s really quite simple: servants serve. When we take “the form of a servant,” our success comes in helping others. This is what true servant leadership is all about.
      2. Of course, this means that we need to train ourselves to see the needs of others. Without the mind of Christ, we will be self-focused and oblivious to the needs of those under our care. Skilled servants are sensitive observers as well as being excellent at meeting needs.
    3. Glad To Serve– vs.5-11 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

      1. A servant’s highest ambition is to successfully help others reach God’s best for their lives. He is not looking for promotion, but for opportunities to serve. True servants live the Bible principle that the way up is down.
      2. Our reward will come when God says Well done faithful servant.

    Closing:

    • “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”—Mark 10:45
    • Servant leadership is not so much what we talk about being as it is who we are. When we have Christ’s humility and look for ways to serve, rather than to be served—that is servant leadership.

  • Work Hard To Keep Shining | Motivational Monday
    Aug 23 2021

Hey, good morning and welcome to the first Motivational Drop Monday. What I like doing is, I like taking motivational quotes and inspirational quotes and sometimes even scripture quotes and then I just do a blog just to get you started on your Monday. Now these blogs come out for those that register to my website they come out early. They get it before anybody, but then I give you yours later. So I want to thank everybody for just participating in this Motivational Drop.

What I'm trying to do is just bring us all to a motivational status. You know sometime you have to just get all the negativity out your mind just so that you can focus better. That's why I'm here to do is just help every single one of us focus better. So every time you see this, Motivational Drop Blog, just remember it's for you. Yes, I like speaking but I like helping even better. Now I got one for you before I leave this morning and I want you to get this, okay. Because I want you to see that you're not waking up and getting ready to go to work for nothing. You not doing this for nothing.

    Quote of the Day

The quote that I'm trying to give you is Work Hard To Keep Shining. Now that comes from this, you know, a light bulb. Now you take that light bulb and when you, when we flipped the switch and the light come on. You have no idea that that light bulb is working hard to keep shining. There are two transistors, I believe they called don't quote me on that, but they are working real hard, going back and forth with each other, trying to produce so much energy that it produced light and it's working hard and then when it can't work hard, no more, it goes out. When one of the transistors fail, then it goes out. It's not going to work hard, it can't go no more.

How Does This Apply To Your Life

See you ain't waking up for nothing. You working hard to keep shining. I know you might make $12 an hour, but you know, why you getting up to work hard because now you want to make $15 an hour and you know, why you working so hard because now you want to own your own place. And, you know, what else, why are you working so hard so that you could provide for your kids? If you have them and make a better life for them, you know, why else you working so hard because you want to, I liked that. That's why I don't, I don't be judging people and judgmental because if that's the way they want to do it, Hey, more power to them, succeed

Hey, I hope this message will help you. They will be coming out every Monday, but like I told you, it'll come out first to those that registered to my website.

You can do that at www.motivationaldrop.com and then just register right all it takes is your first name and your email address, that's it. Hey, I will see y'all next Monday.

  • Welcome To Our First Podcast
    Aug 19 2021

Welcome to our first podcast. You made it to the right place. We talk about a lot of stuff about overcoming. We break down scriptures and find what they truly mean. We will talk about my new book that will be out in 2022 called LISTEN U-LEARN: The De-Escalation Process.  We will have interviews with Police Officers, Parents, Educators, all kinds of people.

On this podcast show, I help motivate people to overcome trials and tragedy in their life.

The thing that I offer that no one else does is to help you find techniques to overcome trials and tragedy in your life. Not necessarily how to prevent the mistakes but how to overcome the mistakes. What I would like to accomplish is the ability to teach and mentor a successful way for you to accomplish your dreams even when trouble arises. The key point that I want everyone to get out of the message is that overcoming is all about not giving up and staying focused even through the trials.
