  • Tara Wear on Burnout, Belonging, and Choosing to Thrive
    Jan 12 2026

This conversation is an invitation to slow down and remember that the adventure is not waiting somewhere else. It is happening right here.

This is the full episode with Tara Wear, a coach and facilitator with over 30 years of experience supporting leaders and women through growth, burnout, and transition. Tara and I met through the TEDx Spokane community, where she coached me through my upcoming talk, and this conversation felt like a natural deepening of that shared journey.

We talk about burnout, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and the pressure so many women feel to overdo, overthink, and constantly improve. Tara shares her personal path into coaching, group work, and leadership, including how healing, community, and compassion shaped the work she offers today through Ready to Thrive Coaching.

We explore the balance between being and doing, the power of intention, breath, and grounding, and why safe community matters when we are trying to grow without losing ourselves. This episode is about choosing again, listening inward, and learning to thrive without abandoning your needs.

Tara also shares about her Women’s Winter Book Club and Thrive Circles, spaces designed for women to practice self-compassion and connection together.

    Key takeaways
    • You can choose again, even in the middle of burnout
    • Self-awareness creates space for real change, not forced improvement
    • Thriving happens when being and doing are allowed to exist together

    A reflection to try
Pause today and notice where you are pushing to be better instead of listening to what you need. Take one small action that supports your body, breath, or heart, not because you earned it, but because you are here.

  • Preview on Learning to Thrive One Choice at a Time
    Jan 9 2026

Sometimes the adventure does not arrive as a bold leap. Sometimes it begins in a quiet moment when we realize we can choose again. In this short preview conversation, I sit down with Tara Wear, an experienced coach and leader who has spent more than 30 years supporting individuals and teams in becoming their best selves.

We first connected through the TEDx Spokane community, where Tara supported me as I prepared my upcoming talk, and this conversation opened up so much wisdom. We talk about burnout, leadership, intention, and self-awareness, especially during seasons like the holidays or the transition into a new year. Tara reminds us that intention is not something we set once and forget. Every moment offers a choice, and every choice creates a new way forward.

This episode is a short teaser and preview of our full conversation, which will be released in the coming days. In the full episode, we go deeper into Tara’s coaching work with women, her shift toward burnout recovery and thriving, and even a word she uses that surprised me and may surprise you, too.

Tara also shares about her upcoming Women’s Winter Book Club focused on self-compassion and burnout recovery, where women will read, reflect, and practice together in a small group setting.

    A reflection to try
Notice one moment today where you feel rushed, overwhelmed, or self-critical. Pause, take one slow breath, and ask yourself, What would it look like to choose again right here? Let the answer be simple.

If you are feeling tired, overwhelmed, or quietly longing for something more grounded, let this be a gentle pause. The adventure is already here.

  • Camron Adibi How Sound and Presence Deepen Our Work with Horses
    Jan 5 2026

I loved sitting down with Camron Adibi for this full conversation. His way of understanding horses reminds us to slow down, listen with our whole selves and meet them with curiosity and care. Camron is an equine behavior educator, sound practitioner and host of the Centar podcast. His blend of tuning forks, vibration work and horse centered teaching brings a thoughtful and heartfelt approach to partnership.

Camron shared how horses take in sound, energy and vibration differently than we do, and how their sensitivity can help us become more aware of our own inner state. Hearing him describe how sound supports calm and regulation for both species was a beautiful reminder of the wisdom horses carry when we let them guide the pace.

He also talked about his path from therapeutic riding to teaching to creating a life woven with horses, sound and storytelling. His move to Aiken began with one conversation and one instinct, showing how new chapters can appear when we follow what feels aligned.

    Takeaways

    • Horses sense emotion and energy before words are spoken.
    • Tuning forks and sound work support grounding for horses and humans.
    • Partnership grows when we listen first and offer space for preference.
    • Meaningful change often begins with one small, honest step.

  • Sneak Peek into Equine Energy and Connection
    Jan 2 2026

Connection often begins in the smallest moments, and this preview with Camron Adibi offers a gentle doorway into the sensory world of horses and the kind of curiosity that can shift how we move through our own lives. Camron is the host of the Centar podcast and a devoted advocate for equine behavior, tuning forks and vibration work, and the intuitive communication that happens between humans and horses.

In this short snapshot, he shares how horses hear far beyond our range, why certain sounds soothe them, and why their preferences can change as their inner state changes. Camron also opens up about how podcasting redirected his path, brought him to new mentors and new places, and helped him step into a more aligned version of his work. His journey is a reminder that small choices often open big doors.

The full interview arrives Friday and will explore frequency work, interspecies communication, and the next chapter of Camron’s move to Aiken.

Try This in Your Own Life

  • Melissa Rodway Why Travel Changes Us and How to Know When It Is Time to Go Home
    Dec 29 2025

Every so often, you meet someone whose stories open a wider doorway into what adventure can teach us. My conversation with Melissa Rodway brought me into the quiet truths of travel, the power of humor, and the way purpose often appears when we least expect it.

Melissa is a writer, journalist, and global traveler who has spent years observing human nature with curiosity and heart. Her debut book The People You Meet grew out of a four month journey across Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and China. What started as simple emails written during long rides became the foundation for a book she revisited fifteen years later. She also created Fly Travel Radio, hosting more than 180 episodes, and recently stepped into standup comedy, blending honesty with lightness in a way that reflects her natural storytelling voice.

In this conversation, Melissa shares how travel shifts as we grow, how intuition guides her next steps, and why some places feel instantly familiar while others never fully land. We talk about travel burnout, the art of knowing when it is time to go home, and the difference between joining someone else’s adventure and creating your own. Melissa also opens up about connection, humor as a universal bridge, and the unexpected moments that shape us on the road.

    Takeaways from this episode

    • Knowing when to pause or go home is an important part of every journey.
    • Humor can create connection faster than anything else on the road.
    • Purpose often appears when you choose to create meaning for yourself.
    • Some places feel like home for reasons the mind cannot explain.

  • Preview on Finding Yourself on the Road
    Dec 26 2025

There is something magical that happens when you sit with someone who has lived adventure as both an inner and outer journey. My conversation with Melissa Rodway brought me right back to why I love exploring the heart of travel. It is not only about the places we go. It is about the inner shifts, awakenings, and quiet truths that rise up when we let ourselves be present to what the road is teaching us.

Melissa is an author, journalist, and former host of Fly Travel Radio. In today’s preview, she shares how her relationship with travel has changed as she has grown and how purpose found her on a long eco luxury trip fifteen years ago. What began as simple emails eventually became the start of her book. We touched on travel fatigue, travel judgment, creativity, and the honest moments in between that shape who we become as travelers and as people.

This short preview is just a taste of what is coming later this week. We saved the deeper stories for Wednesday's full episode including an unforgettable encounter she had on the road and the new adventures she is dreaming into. If you love conversations that explore travel, humor, reinvention, and the paradox of finding yourself through movement, you will want to come back for the full interview.

A couple of reflections to carry with you

    • Travel changes as we change and each season of life invites a new way of exploring
    • Purpose often finds us in quiet moments when we least expect it

  • Karen Wickerson on Understanding Your Animal’s Inner World
    Dec 19 2025

Spending time with Karen Wickerson feels like opening a quiet doorway into the wisdom of the animals who walk beside us. Karen is an animal telepath, a former clinical counselor, and the author of Listen to Your Animals: They Know More Than You Think. Her connection to animals began when she was three years old and realized she could communicate with them. As she grew older, she learned to silence that gift because the people around her didn’t understand it, until her soul eventually pulled her back toward the work she was meant to do.

Karen shares how she reached a point in her counseling career where she knew she was “about to hit the wall” and feared she might make a severe mistake with a family. That moment pushed her to plan her exit and step toward a life that aligned with her true calling. It led her to a trek to Mount Everest base camp with asthma and only 70 percent lung capacity, a journey that taught her the power of moving forward even half an inch at a time.

We explore how she connects with animals across distance, how she reads their unique energy signatures, and what she has learned about their emotional worlds. Karen describes what really happens when animals cross over and how they often explain it as simply taking off a coat they no longer need. She also shares stories about grief, soul agreements, and the ways animals guide their humans through important life decisions.

Karen’s work is a reminder that our animals are not just pets. They are teachers, companions, and wise, sentient beings who understand far more than we often realize.

    Key Reflections

    • Animals communicate through energy, emotion and intention.
    • Our relationships with them are true partnerships that often stretch across lifetimes.
    • When an animal passes, its essence remains connected to us.
    • The choices we make at the end of their life are guided and never wrong.
