This Podcast returns us to the wisdom of our great grandparents and ancestors who likely worked with horses, mountains and dogs daily. Each episode contains actionable tools, tips and stories for modern day families and people to connect with nature through animals, as we have done for millennia. The work is a reflection of the truth about who we were, who we are, and who we might become if we only take the time to listen and work together with horses, mountains and dogs to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually one day at a time.© 2023 Horses, Mountains & Dogs Desarrollo Personal Higiene y Vida Saludable Medicina Alternativa y Complementaria Éxito Personal

  • Yarona Boster on Parenting in a Digital World and Reclaiming Real Connection
    Aug 22 2025

Some days it feels like the world is coming at us faster than we can breathe. The screens, the noise, the pressure to keep up. It can leave us overwhelmed and disconnected from what really matters. What if the discomfort we try so hard to avoid is actually where the healing begins?

That is exactly what I explored with Yarona Boster. She is an advanced certified life coach, TEDx speaker, bestselling author, and the daughter of a Holocaust survivor whose story of loss and resilience has shaped her life’s work. Yarona does not shy away from the hard stuff. She helps people lean into it, whether it is grief, parenting in the digital age, or learning to unplug long enough to remember who we are.

We covered so much in this conversation:
    • Why unplugging from technology feels so hard and how to make it easier
    • How boredom can be a doorway to creativity and connection
    • Parenting kids who are growing up surrounded by screens
    • The truth about grief and loss and why “you will be okay” can feel dismissive
    • What it means to sit with someone in their pain instead of rushing to fix it

What stood out most to me: Yarona reminds us that pain is not something to run from. It is a teacher. When we allow ourselves and our kids to fully feel it, we open the door to growth, resilience, and deeper love.

  • Traveling with Cats, Losing One, and Finding Community in a Small Town with Beth Mills and Robey NeJame
    Aug 15 2025

What happens when your travel plans get flipped upside down by a very determined little cat?

In this episode, I sat down with Beth Mills and Robey NeJame, a sweet and adventurous couple I first connected with through our Teton Valley community. What started as a two-year road trip with their cats turned into an unforgettable story filled with love, loss, and the incredible kindness of strangers.

Just days before they were scheduled to leave Idaho, their cat Angel slipped out and disappeared into the night. What followed was ten days of late-night stakeouts, twelve traps, hand-drawn flyers, and neighbors offering help at every turn. From farmers volunteering to catch Angel to a local lending them a net, this episode is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when people come together for something they care about.

Beth and Robey share how they’ve navigated life on the road with cats, how they honored the sudden passing of their beloved Panther, and what they learned about themselves, their relationship, and their fur family along the way. Their story is full of heart, humor, and hope. I promise it will stay with you.

    Takeaways from this episode:

    • Sometimes the cat chooses you, not the other way around
    • Traveling with pets means planning ahead and staying flexible
    • You can find deep community in unexpected places
    • Grief has layers, and healing often shows up in the form of a furry friend
    • Asking for help can bring out the best in people
    • A little patience and a drop trap can go a long way

    • Feliway calming spray for cats
    • Drop traps for catching lost or feral cats safely

Whether you are a fellow cat person, a traveler at heart, or someone who believes in the goodness of people, I think this conversation will make you smile and maybe even tear up a little. It did for me.
