Acerca de esta escucha

Welcome to Delicious Dignity - a podcast where we strengthen your self-worth, resilience, and spiritual well-being. We keep things honest, a little irreverent, and always real, with plenty of laughter and candid conversation along the way.

Let’s do this!

The triple archetype format of every episode:

🌹 Maiden - What? - The concept or idea

🌹Mother - Why? - A story to ground it

🌹Crone - How? - Practical steps, including rituals, meditations, and journaling prompts to help you embody that d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s dignity in your daily life 🤩. Each episode comes with a written ritual accompaniment - see link below.

We ask big questions: What daily practices strengthen our mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being? How do we hold our dignity in a world that seems to chip away at it?

New episodes drop when inspiration hits—weekly, biweekly, or more!

This is where we create our heaven on earth!

'Earth' - Mental, Physical, & Emotional Wellness – Explore concepts of resilience, strength, self-worth, self-esteem, and self-efficacy in everyday life.
'Heaven' - Spiritual & Personal Growth – Learn how to partner with your own divinity to find your own definition of success, presence, and love. Find your way to a grounded, more mature spirituality.

But why dignity? After 10+ years as an intuitive coach and 35+ years of being alive, I noticed a pattern—what hurt people most was the loss of dignity. A strong sense of dignity is our greatest strength and our most powerful immune system against life’s challenges.

With reverence (& a lil' irreverence) ,

Dilshad.

  • 6. Love what you love, you silly goose! Love Liberations Series + Heart opening rituals
    Jun 15 2025

This is the inaugural episode of the Love Liberation series - every 5th episode or so, I’ll be declaring my love for something or someone, no holding back.

This series is a rebellion against the ways we’ve been taught to tone down our joy (or eliminate it altogether), hide our passions, & apologize for being lit up. Because when we hold back our love, we dim ourselves—and that’s a form of self-rejection.

In this episode, I unpack the cost of suppression, the power of sincerity, and the freedom of letting yourself love what you love. We end with a three-part ritual to tune into your own heart’s voice.

    Outline of this episode:

    1. Introduction to a new series within the podcast - the Love Liberation Series!
    2. Consequences of holding back on what you love
    3. Why we hold back from saying what we love out loud aka self-rejection
    4. How to know you've been holding back on your love
    5. Wild Geese by Mary Oliver as inspiration for this series
    6. A sure-fire way to know what it is that you truly love
    7. 3 part ritual to attuning to your heart
      • taking stock
      • difference between heart and head energy
      • bespoke heart words

  • 4. Waking up from hustle culture. From grateful immigrant to getting fired.
    Jun 1 2025

What if a lot of what makes you successful (your ambition, working hard, your ability to do it all) was like a silent but deadly fart?

In this deeply personal and candid episode, I share the story of how I finally woke up from hustle culture. SPOILER ALERT - It only took me a casual 2 decades. From my days as a tireless immigrant student chasing every opportunity, to the burnout that followed me across jobs, cities, and even my own business—I lay it all out.

But the real turning point? Getting fired from a job I didn’t even need. Ha!

    Here’s the episode outline:

    1. Defining hustle culture - what to look for when assessing where you stand in the matrix (if you'd like a checklist of these behaviors, you can find them here)
    2. Defining 'feeling good' as the opposite (or perhaps more balanced) replacement for hustling
    3. The signs of dysfunctional achieving vs functional efforting
    4. The long arc of overachieving and the price I paid for it: from 17 years old to now (35 years old)
    5. Learning the hard way in every area of my life: relationships, jobs, mentors, courses, etc.
    6. When pushing became a pattern, even in my spiritual business
    7. THE GRAND FINALE - the comically dysfunctional workplace that finally mirrored back the true cost of over-efforting

The next episode is the part 2 finale of the hustle culture series. This is where I reflect on my experiments with feeling good (instead of hustling) in 2025 and present some rituals for you around waking up from hustling.

Here is a checklist to identify hustle culture behaviors. The goal of this list is to identify hurtful behaviors you maybe engaging in, so that you can bring them more into balance - https://www.dilshadmehta.com/delicious-dignity-podcast/4
