Nearly everything in the book is new to me. It was explained so clearly that I thought throughout that I understood as the science and logic of it were constructed. Still, coming to grips with quantum fluctuations in empty space during expansion resulting in a flat universe with zero gravitational energy, universe or multiverse — this is at the edge of what my brain can expand. Fun read all the way. Author did a great job of presentation.

The cover says, “Why is there something rather than nothing” but the author explains that is not what he means, he actually means “HOW is there something rather than nothing”. He then proceeds to give an explanation of such a “How”. Unfortunately, to get to that “How” he has to redefine the meaning of “nothing” to be “something” (fluctuating quantum fields). Then (unsurprisingly) he comes up with a “how” the universe evolved from his neo-nothingness. How did the neo-nothing come from nothing is not addressed. “Why” is also not addressed. Much of the book is a not so subtle argunessment against religious beliefs about creation. Not having such religious beliefs, I found all of that quite boring and his theory weak as he does not address “how” fluctuating quantum fields are inevitable.

The narration was clear and understandable.
