This is one of the most inspiring, knowledge filled, thoughtful, caring books I have ever read. Dara Horn's awesome narration felt as though she was speaking to me personally. Her detailed understanding of Jewish history and culture was incredibly validating after almost 3 years of invalidation and gaslighting.

If you read only one book about Jews, Jewish culture, and history, this should be the one.

Dara Horn is a national treasure. Everything she’s written, from fiction to nonfiction, is just incredible. She eloquently articulates what many of us have been feeling. She truly deserves the title of “The Lorax”. Everything you thought you knew about education about the Jewish people will come into question when you read this book. And for most of us, that’s a good thing. For those of you who don’t know quite what to say right now, read this book and you’ll know.
