Inclusive, eye-opening, and wonderful!

I was impressed that Elizabeth Banks, a thin white actress widely acclaimed for her beauty, could discuss body positivity in a credible way. I loved that she interviewed a diverse group of women with strong viewpoints. The guests do not come from the same background and are not perfectly in agreement with each other, but they all are relentlessly committed to freeing all people from feeling bad about their own bodies.

I'm especially happy that Ms. Banks chose Jameela Jamil as a guest expert. I had never heard of her before or heard her speak, but now I've seen some of her videos on YouTube, and she's amazing! Her story in this podcast about a company asking her to endorse their diet product without even using it, while faking the results by giving her a personal trainer, was shocking to me, and one that I will have to tell my daughters. I'm looking forward to following Ms. Jamil as she strives to promote body neutrality and empowerment for all of us.

Based on this first episode, I'm planning on listening to the rest of the podcasts in this series. There is so much to learn here about how to be a good parent, or a supportive friend, or even just a tolerant and accepting person in a diverse world. Well done!

Pragmatic and powerful and necessary

Elizabeth Banks completely floored me with her openness and knowledge or at least willingness to seek out people that have the knowledge to help us explore our own sexuality and to help our children with theirs. I am sending this to my friends and it is brilliant. I wish I had this while I was growing up it probably would’ve saved me from a lot of mistakes that I made with myself, my body, and my boundaries.

Good but

Unnecessary to hate on white men. It’s possible to have a good podcast without vilifying millions of people that you don’t know.

Just a preview, but definitely draws you in!!!

The one and only Elizabeth Banks!!!!! Not much more is needed to be said...but if you need more said, this preview of her podcast gives the quick overview of the stigmatized taboo topics that we really need to be making more open and relaxed to talk about. Looking forward to this podcast!!!

Share this with everyone you know, especially the women in your life, but probably more importantly the man

Honest and humorous, shocking and familiar, this podcast mixes fact and statistics with true stories of struggle and celebration. I immediately forwarded this episode on body, even with spicy language, to my 14-year-old daughter. we should all be outraged at how our obsessions with our bodies and self-worth are so significantly and unapologetically influenced by people and things that could care less about us. I finished this episode feeling inspired and eager to hear the next episode. Well done!

Love!

I love this podcast and I am not even through the first episode. I love how straightforward and real it is. In my opinion, It is a truly honest show about emotions and mindsets surrounding the body, But even deeper, the systemically cultivated way of thinking about ourselves and life in general. I love it! I’m learning, laughing and air fist pumping when their is something that is said which validated how I’ve always felt but couldn’t find the words to express. Amen Sis! Thanks for this podcast and your great insight!

it's hard to be a woman!

I loved this conversation! I am a middle aged woman who started therapy 2 years ago after realizing how fucked up my experiences growing up as a girl, teen and woman have been. At 55 I am finally able to accept and love my body and myself as I am! I am aging and it sucks but now I am working on the things that are not fleeting ( my heart and soul)
