Publisher's Summary

There are times when life feels like it has you cornered: financial difficulties, relationship issues, work problems, all of the above. Every one of us, at one time or another, will have to face up to the challenges that come our way. And there are two ways of meeting them: negatively, where blame is the answer, where other people are at fault, where you haven’t been treated fairly. Or positively, where you own the situation, learn and grow from it and become a better person at the end of it.

Letting you into areas of his life he’s never talked about before, in Zero Negativity, Ant will show you how to embrace failure and use it to your advantage, how to see change as the foundation of your future success, how to develop resilience, how to deal with bullies, what it means to be a positive roll model and how to live a life with no regrets.

This book will not tell you who to be, where you should live, or what job you should do. That’s up to you. What this book is for, however, is to give you the tools you need to become the best possible version of yourself, to own who and what you are and to live your life with Zero Negativity.

I was never...

I was never at your level in the Swedish SOG. But I was at my very best in the 1st anti terrorist force of my country.

I never was as insightful as you are, I was never as understanding of the psychology as you are.
- But subconsciously I was where you are.

From my heart, I thank you for adding words to my feelings, adding words to my experience, because you’ve me made understand what, who I was in my life in SOG, what my time in the SOG made me to be, who my experience made me to be aware of who I can be. - The one who, no matter what, won’t give up.

Listening to you, you sort out my faults & failures, you sort out my insecurities, you sort out my life as a now 59 year old civilian. Today, you’ve made me to understand how to apply my SOG experience in a non-war life.

You’re one of my role models of my administration.

Thank you! ❤️

Good book

Semi genaric motivation with Ant, I liked it and there are 3 great take aways for prior mil. Also a better understanding of positivity vs fake positivity so you understand it better. Overall a good read for a motivation book.

Ant Needs Some Mental Health Education

Great book, ticks the boxes but there was one comment which unravelled it all for me.
The comment that people who are diagnosed with PTSD are somehow not up for the job, is a worrying one.
It rips away the clever facade that Middleton is building, perhaps to mask his own insecurities or inadequacies.
An education in mental health would be a good move for this bloke but being typically military likely thinks he is above it all.

I still enjoy his books but recognise now that he has a job to fill which is to write books and churn out as much 'bloke writing' while he can. I respect him but no longer like him as I did.

A real man understanding emotions

As a kid without too much of a role model, hearing this is what i have been looking for. Understanding emotions and using positive outlooks to get through any task. Having a bloke with real life experience through the most macho of job titles show weakness in strength is one of the most refreshing things ive heard. Brilliant!

that good I listened to it twice 🙂

loved it! reminded I of my old self when I always thought I was lucky in life and succeeded. when I stopped being positive and gave up with life. My life has hit rock bottom so hard I could write a book about it. this book has got I thinking and being that way again and life is starting to look good again. I've listened to it twice now.

life changing.

iv really enjoyed the trilogy of books by ant middleton and I found with this book that it really changed my outlook to life. how to take any negative comments or energy and spin them to become positive. but the best thing about this audio book is that it doenst come across as preachy or telling you what to do. its almost like a mate in a pub just chatting with you about life and how to make the best of everyday. thank you very much.

Incredibly true

This book should be up there as book of the year. Honest and educational from a guy who doesn’t profess to be a professor. Refreshing.

very motivating

Interesting stories, heartfelt, honest, keep me entertained, a good listen.
Just one question Ant why Zero Negativity and not Total Positivity..... the psychology of this interests me.

doesnt hit as hard as first man in and fear bubble

after listening to the first two books by ant, I was really looking forward to this, however I hate to say I was slightly disappointed.

if you buy this expecting stories from ants past and detailed life events like in first man in and fear bubble, then you may be disappointed also. this book focuses mainly on ants mindset and mentality to stay positive. I see this more of a self help book than anything else, with a few examples of how his experiences in the military and as a celeb relate to the message he is putting across. however these stories dont come across with the same impact as what they did before, maybe because the story isn't the focus, the story is just being used as an example in his or others behaviour to portray a message.

still a decent listen, still entertaining and I still find ant a very interesting person that seems to have crammed multiple lifetimes into his 40years. I look forward to future pieces of work he puts out.

Disappointed

Not for me, 1 x book too many. Usually enjoy Ant’s stuff but this just has far too much self indulgent drivel. Couldn’t finish it.

Brilliant

This book has an energetic tone read by Ant Middleton and once you have finished it you will definitely begin to think more positively. After hearing all his reasons to think positively then it makes no sense to think otherwise!

Bit repetitive really

Can’t help but wonder the purpose of some of these books, just to cash in on fame perhaps? Sentiment was good and the first chapter or two were very promising but that is where the promise ended. It got tiresome listening to the phrases “best version of yourself” or “best version of myself” so frequently, as if it was used to fill the void. By no means was this book terrible, it was certainly easy listening but not a great deal to take away from it.

Good pick you up

I can honestly say I didn't know Ants story before this. While I enjoyed him reading it it felt like it was more like a motivational speech than an analysis of the tools to a positive mindset. A good listen but was looking for a bit more

Not Quite What I expected

Thought this was a book that included history, philosophy and current techniques used in avoiding negativity / promoting positivity. My mistake. A book on survival attributed to "being positive" with examples of when worked for the author by being positive. Felt a bit like being told when you feel sad to be "Happy" cos I do and it works for me. Interesting accounts of SAS training/work reminiscing.
