Resumen del Editor

From New York Times best-selling author and former Navy SEAL Brandon Webb comes a simple yet powerful five-step guide to transforming your life by making your fears work for you instead of against you.

Brandon Webb has run life-threatening missions in the world's worst trouble spots, whether that meant jumping out of airplanes, taking down hostile ships on the open sea, or rolling prisoners in the dead of night in the mountains of Afghanistan. As a Navy SEAL, he learned how to manage the natural impulse to panic in the face of terrifying situations. As media CEO and national television commentator, he has learned how to apply those same skills in civilian life.

Drawing on his experiences in combat and business, along with colorful anecdotes from his vast network of super-achiever friends, from astronauts to billionaires, Webb shows how people from all walks of life can stretch and transcend their boundaries and learn to use their fears as fuel to achieve more than they ever thought possible. "Fear can be a set of manacles, holding you prisoner", writes Webb. "Or it can be a slingshot, catapulting you on to greatness."

The key, says Webb, is not to fight fear or try to beat it back, but to embrace and harness it. In the process, rather than being your adversary, your fear becomes a secret weapon that allows you to triumph in even the most adverse situations. In Mastering Fear, Webb and his best-selling coauthor, John David Mann, break this transformation down into five practical steps, creating a must-listen manual for anyone looking for greater courage and mastery in their lives.

Thank you!

This was an incredibly powerful book that brought me to several realizations about the power of thought and action and fear. Thank you for both enlightening me, and solidifying some blurry thoughts that have been churning around amidst the chatter. Totally incredible stuff, written in a powerful way!

Great tips for life!

This book, to me, was more than just conquering fear! It is about living life fully. I have had more than enough struggles, and this would have helped significantly in the past. I think our youth should be reading this kind of material.
Everything seems to revolve around social media nowadays. It was hard enough before those days to conquer the fear of failure. Currently, I feel failing carries more attention than succeeding. Everyone is ready to jump on the band wagon to criticize an individual's before.
I work with young male gymnasts ranging ages 6 and up. The younger they are, the less they worry about failing. Always ready to take on anything.
As they grow older, they become more fearful about taking on new challenges. Sometimes, they don't even try because they are afraid to fail in front of others, claiming that they don't like competition or they aren't as good as the others. Yet every time they reach a new level of achievement, they are excited and proud of their work.
Brandon Webb and John Mann, I don't know if you will ever get to read this, but I believe you could change a lot of kids' lives/future generations for the better if you wrote something like this for youth.
So many books out there cater to the adults and build a better mindset and outlook on life. However, there aren't near as many for the youth.
I have read some of Jocko's books for kids and shared them with my athletes. They are based on fictional characters with great morals, but I'm thinking more towards the young athlete, who thinks they are too mature for a kids' book. The 12-year-old gymnast who thinks they are practically an adult and thinks they know enough to not believe they are good enough.

Thank you,
Deryck Quiles

Great book! Start to finish, relatable. A balance tutorial on how you can rise above in your moments of true fear...if you can commit to one more step...now, one more.

Well Organised, Articulately Written

This short book was worth it's weight in gold.
It is well written and excellently performed by Johnathan. His vocal tone, inflections and pauses are all on point!

I absolutely loved the last principle, 'Know what matters'. The book has left me with a renewed vigour to conquer my fears and to clearly determine what matters, what is important.

Inspires action

One of the best books I’ve listened to. This book is great because it made me really dig deep. It has action points which are the most important. I listened to it all the way through kind of in a shotgun method and will now go back with pen and paper to map out what I will do with the information. Thanks

Fear is the elephant in the room

This book is spot on and I really needed to hear it. I can relate to many of anecdotes, stories and lessons in this as I too am a retired army veteran. Brandon writes down to earth and in simple terms. If you paralysis by analysis then you should consider this book
