Dude, it was just one kiss. One kiss. But kissing in public isn't allowed in Jahwar. And now I've been compelled to give the King of Jahwar my hand in marriage. He's so cold. So polite. But not behind closed doors.
"I'm very much going to enjoy breaking you," he says, just moments after we become temporary husband and wife.
And now I'm about to find out the very, very hard way...
Revenge is best served wife.
Reader warning: This is a dark, full-length romance with blazing hot situations that will make some uncomfortable. Please bypass the buy button if you're looking for a wine and rose petals king. Zahir isn't him. But if you're ready for an epic romance with one cruel beast of a sheikh, this story will have you listening all the way until the shocking end.

These characters shouldn't have worked. He was reserved and she was flamboyant. So much so, that at her friend's wedding, she kissed him(without his consent) and it forced them to take on a marriage of convenience due to how conservative his fictional country was.
The book wasn't perfect; it's attempt at displaying Islam and Bdsm were appreciated. They weren't perfect depictions but they worked for these characters. Zahir wasn't actually as cruel as I thought he'd be, he was just dominant in nature. A lot of the things he asked of her weren't outrageous and pretty much normal in a kink setting. Again it wasn't perfect but I found myself wishing I wasn't swearing off dating so I could find me a sexy Arab boo thang to negotiate with.
The only thing I didnt love about it was Prin's masculine nature. She always had to get the last word, her narrator sounded like she was from Boston instead of NJ and most of Prin's problems she created because she was hard-headed.
But she was a good heroine and her softness grew throughout the book.
I'm not a TT enthusiast and probably never will be but this was a good job on her part. I love a sexy, silent type hero who can splurge on his woman and her family. It was pure escapism and I wish more sheikh romances featured black women because of this.
Sexy hero!
