Publisher's Summary

"Sensual, evocative, and spellbinding." (K.L. Kreig, USA Today best-selling author of Black Swan Affair)

Finn

No matter how cruel it's been to me in the past, I've never been able to flip fate the bird. I'm a romantic at heart. So when fate drops a leather-bound journal at my feet, I know I should walk away.

I don't. I pick her up, bend her spine, spread her pages. From the first word, I'm a goner. The owner didn't give me access to her most intimate desires, but I devour them anyway. Her private darkness, her candid, sensual poetry - it all goes down like warm milk. And from that point forward, I drink, eat, and sleep her.

Halston

I went to his apartment and let him take my picture. Just once, to see how it would feel. I'm not his to look at, to inspire, to touch, but when he watches me through his lens, it gives me a high I don't want to come down from....

My journal is the one place I can be myself - as long as I can tie it up and put it away when I'm finished. But when Finn undoes the bow, he pulls strings that could unravel each of us.

Yours to Bare can be enjoyed as a standalone or as book three in the Slip of the Tongue series.

Narrated by Sebastian York and Andi Arndt.

Yours to Bare– Is Mine to Love

.

Finn has chosen to leave his unhappy existence. He is living with the mother of his child, a wealthy woman to whom everything is measured by material things. He doesn't love her nor the secure, high paying career. Instead he is trying to make it on his own as a photographer. This is a ruthless, challenging career. But it makes him happy… However, he is waiting for his career to take off.

Halston has had a rough time of it. Her very rich family fell apart when her mom died in a car accident. She was inconsolable so her dad sends her to an institution and she is on antidepressants from age 15. Now she works at her dad's bank, lives with a man who her father chose for her and is existing, not living. Her only outlet is journaling. This is where she writes her fantasies along with her daily activities.

One day Finn discovers a journal at the coffee shop he frequents. He knows he should turn it in, but is attached to it before he can do so. He takes it home and begins to read the very intimate thoughts that a stranger has written. He is inspired and set on finding the author… to return it or more?

I don't know why so many of the reviewers dislike Finn. He is a very patient guy, especially as Halston starts to unwind.

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are so talented. Sebastian York has a deep sexy voice, perfect for Finn. Andi Arndt performs Halston without flaw. I especially enjoy her narration of male characters – soft and husky.

5 stars across the board

Be aware that this book contains strong language and mature themes/situations

Don't quote me on this, but I believe there are three standalone books. Each of the books focus on one [different] couple and mentions the other characters in a peripheral manner. When I listened again I will listen to the three back-to-back to enjoy the full richness of the friendships, as well as the main focus of each [standalone book] couple and their relationship.

In order the titles are:

SLIP OF THE TONGUE
THE FIRST TASTE
YOURS TO BARE

Disappointment

The rest of this series was so much better. The narration was pretty good but since the story was overblown and script repetitive, it is not worth a credit.

The story is a disappointment!

As much as I enjoyed First Taste, I was turned off by the character Halston. The emotional pain of blaming herself for her mother's death does not justify turning into a cheap whore! Andi Arndt & Sebastian York are my favorite narrators, even they couldn't save the day!

Good but didn't like Finn

If Finn was suppose to be the hero, why did he act just like the boyfriend and her dad. He was just as controlling as they were and he never did own up to it that would have made this story better.

Loved this story

I'm was so glad when I heard Finn would get his own story. And I was not disappointed. This is another tale of two people looking for love. But it isn't was easy as it seems. There are family and ex's to deal with, so many obstacles in the way.
Will Finn finally find what he thought he lost in Sadie?
Amazing book. Amazing narrating.

Didn’t work for me

Sadly, not the story for me. Wonderful writing, loved the duel POV, parts of the story I loved, other parts just wound me up. I loved the idea of the story, and in the first half 75% of the story I was intrigued, I had my ideas about where the story would end up. I wasn’t happy with the direction it went though, I felt that Halston came across as too weak, my personal opinion, she did’t empower me at all. The story fell flat towards the end. All my personal opinion. Not a great read for me. The narration was top notch, I expected nothing less, it may be one of the reasons I stuck with the story.
