The author has provided excellent biblical documentation for the premises he expands on in use of ones financial resources. The audio version is helpful. With the author reading/presenting the text the words and concepts come alive.

Solid advice and realistic expectations. I appreciated the biblical view as it is specifically what I was wanting and the scripture quoted was a great reflection of the issues that Scott was trying to shine a light on.

Comprehensive look at money through God's Word

If you're looking for a comprehensive look at God's view of money as seen in scripture, this is the book to get you there! Scott addresses many of the most common money-misconceptions and myths as well as the flat-out lies. Scott also has numerous practical examples of ideas to reduce spending and live within our means. I so enjoyed hearing the author read the book--this offers a kind of connection. Also, no one knows the author's intent and the direction he's going, better than the author himself--they're the best qualified to read their own work.
If you've ever wondered about some of the tougher-to-discern passages related to money, you'll likely be pleasantly surprised as Scott explains them and helps us to apply them.
I especially appreciated hearing about the examples of folks from WCC who did things out of the ordinary in order to remain debt-free in a debt-loving world. I was waiting for one infamous Scott Lapierre quote that I've shared numerous times over the years: "the world celebrates debt like it's a blessing and yet, thinks of children, clearly described in scripture by God as blessings, as curses." It's a topsy-turvy works out there! But God is faithful to guide us by His Word and Scott remains faithful to the Word in teaching us.
Also, I'm gonna have to stop saying "tithe" when offering our gifts.
Overall, it's a fantastic listen that I'm grateful to have been able to enjoy.
