abordagem realista, nao existe magica. se vc quer aposentar cedo, tem q poupar bastante. o autor vai ao extremo de propor q vc economize em muita coisa, inclusive muito lazer. cabe ao leitor ver ate que ponto faz sentido deixar de aproveitar o presente em troca do futuro. penso que talvez o melhor seja o equilibrio entre poupar e viver. colocar meta de poupança, mas tambem metas de viagens, lazer em geral.

Talvez o problema esteja no pressuposto: o desejo de se aposentar cedo. porque como voce precisa juntar muiti para se aposentar, de uma certa forma, esse objetivo implica naquela frase "quando eu me aposentar farei a,b e c..." o problema é q vc nao sabe se tera saúde, se seus investimentos trarao retorno suficiente. pode dar tudo certo, pode dar tudo errado tb.


em alguns momentos achei q o livro era "como sobreviver se perder o emprego ou sua renda diminuir", pq ele propoe um arrocho economico de mais de uma ou 2 décadas de padrao de vida frugal.
