friends to swoon

I loved these characters and how much life the narrators brought to them. There was some hard decisions to be made, but the narrators brought the situation to life for us.

l enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed Cash. I'm actually going to skip Sawyer because that's a trop I'm just not into and then pick back up with Duke. this is a great series and while Cowboy Western romance usually isn't my thing, I've honestly enjoyed these first two books and really recommend the series. The narration is superb!

I love this book! I love this series so I excited about Wyatt. And it did not disappoint. In fact. I’ve spent the whole day listening…. Thank goodness for earbuds!

I’m not a huge fan of Friends to lovers….

But Wyatt and Sally might just change my minds. These two were perfect for each other from page one. I honestly thought we’d get to the spicy stuff sooner but it was done really well. I usually prefer more angst and jealousy in my MMCs and the conflict resolution for me felt a little too quick even if I thought Sally’s daddy was gonna shoot Wyatt. The miscommunication though it does get resolved felt embarrassing to witness. For two characters who claimed to love each other why didn’t they just talk and then being scared of others reactions is a hard excuse to swallow. I did love the narrators. I fell in love with Lila Winters when she narrated for Lucy Score’s Knockemout Series. And I’ve been a long time Aiden Snow fan!! Overall 4 stars. Still a great book and a great audiobook. Spice is definitely a 3 chilly pepper whew. Wyatt Rivers the mouth on you!!

Audio Daddy

The audio was so good! Especially with Wyatt’s dirty mouth! This was a sweet story and Wyatt was charming and naughty the perfect combination!

Connection

oh my gosh. I just love a second chance romance. Jessica Peterson did not disappoint. The connection between Sally and Wyatt is perfect. A friendship that bonds them more then they let on. Wyatt hiding behind a demeanor as the towns wild lover boy. Even though in reality. He is the towns most loving sweet heart who would do anything for those he loves especially Sally his best friend. I love how she interconnected Cash Lucky River Ranch book one into book two. John B just wanted the best for his daughter and Sally wants to live up to all those expectations. Wyatt encourages Sally to do anything she wants because she is capable of it all. As a true friend should.
Big life decisions are scary to make but it makes it easier when you have family and friends like Sally does. I cant wait to read the next one and get back on the saddle with Sawyer.

The perfect sequel

There’s not many books where I actually like the second one more than the first but that has happened to me in this book! Sally and Wyatt’s love story was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy! I absolutely cannot wait for ‘Sawyer’ to come out!!

I'm not usually a huge friends to lovers fan but this is how it is done right!! These two had me giddy, kicking my feet, swooning, and feeling all the feels.

The second installment in the Lucky River Ranch series did not disappoint — and coming from someone who doesn’t typically swoon over childhood friends to lovers, that’s saying something.

Sally is a total gem — a whip-smart veterinarian fighting to make her mark in a competitive surgical field, all while hopelessly in love with her best friend since forever. And Wyatt? Don’t even get me started. This man is sweet cowboy perfection — loyal, steady, and so head-over-heels for Sally it physically hurts. He’s known since they were kids that she was it for him, but instead of holding her back, he let her chase her dreams… and regretted it every day since.

Their reunion is equal parts heartwarming, frustrating, and deliciously satisfying. The banter is adorable, the emotional payoff hits just right, and while a few moments leaned a little Hallmark-level cheesy — I was still grinning like an idiot the whole time. And the spice? Let’s just say this is why we love cowboys. 🤠

If you love small-town romance with big hearts, career-driven heroines, and men who love out loud (and know how to use a lasso, if you catch my drift), Wyatt deserves a spot on your TBR immediately.
