What an adorable and amazing book

This book was so cute and plot twisty and I loved it so much. I will not spoil but oh my word that was awesome. I love the nerdy elements to it and the idea of a guy main character. <333 10/10 would read a thousand times over.

A Cute Tale of Young Love and Magic!

This was such a cute story about a high-school boy navigating his way through young love, fitting in, and finding time for his DnD adventures with a bit of possibly real magic sprinkled in!

I loved the immersive effects used for the DnD campaign scenes. It was so fun to listen to; I could have listened to an entire book of just the campaign! The special sound effects and music really took those scenes to the next level.

My favorite quote has to be about the snail and his gift of a "tiny healing elixir." I audibly squealed over the cuteness.

I absolutely LOVED this book!! I’ve been a Marissa Meyer fan for a while and bought the audiobook as soon as it came out! I’ve listened and read it at least 4 times already, I can’t get over it! Ari’s song downpour had me crying every time she sang it! I love the friend to lovers trope and Marissa pulled it off perfectly! Jude is such an amazing character and this was an amazing sequel to Instant Karma!

Very cute sequel to instant karma

Very cute story, didn’t love it as much as the first one, but Marissa Meyer delivered yet again a great read with funny and well thought out characters.

Marissa is a fantastic writer. Character development, pop culture references, obscure references, and involving the reader keeps this fun story compelling to the end

Way better than “Instant Karma”

“Instant Karma” (the first book in this series) has NOTHING wrong with it and is a fantastic book but, THIS book *oh my stars* this book is so much better Marissa has really upped her game with this one, I love all the DnD references in the overall story telling, for example Jude saying he would really love to roll a charisma check in a awkward situation “🙏💀👹👺😝🤣😭😫”
❤️I also love how she slipped in a non-binary side character -Noah- without even talking about it❤️
This is the nerdiest book I have ever read but I also think this is earning a place in “my top 10 favorite books 📚”
Toward the end it give the kind of weirdos unite stuff, kinda like the show “the owl house” :)
In the last like 3/4 of the book It was losing me a bit but after listening just a bit more i was sucked in again!

Amazing overall book and if Marissa Mayer makes another one of these books -maybe about penny or Araceli?- I would DEFINITELY read it

Better towards the end

I LOVE Marissa Meyer’s books. This one, less so. I was looking forward to it and listened to Instant Karma right before purchasing With A Little Luck. The narrator change threw me off. Not because it’s - male narrator from Jude’s perspective, because the voices don’t match within the 2 books. Plus Rebecca Soler does a much better job. This narrator cannot do female voices. The beginning of the book had me rolling my eyes A LOT. By the end I was smiling though.
