Publisher's Summary

As the CEO of Building Bridges LLC, Bri is driven by determination for success. However, while planning the wedding of one of Chicago's hottest couples, Bri's focus is shifted when the strum of a nocturnal voice captures her attention. Being an empath has empowered her sense of compassion for others, so she's not only drawn to him because of his broken heart but also from a fierce attraction that sparks her interest and tap dances on a groove on her heart. Getting involved with someone who's not open to love may prove to be the most difficult road Bri has ever journeyed, but she's unable to stop herself from falling into an irresistible tango of love.

World-renowned photographer Raphael Valentine hasn't been in the public eye since the tragic death of his fiancee four years prior. To date, his time is spent helping his charity of choice - educating the community about the dangers of driving while intoxicated. For him, love is a thing of the past until meeting Bri St. James at his brother's rehearsal dinner made Raphael question what he'd always believed to be true. As a friendship between the two flourishes, and they're cloaked in a dynamic surge of desire, Raphael is met with the ultimate challenge: surrender to a second chance at love or abandon his happily ever after for a lifetime.

Contains mature themes.

Really Liked It!

While this book was predictable in the way that you knew the two were going to end up together, those Valentine Brothers know how to keep you wanting more and now I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. Raphael is definitely tied in 1st place with Lance right now... But let's see what DeAndre brings to the table. 😉 Ms. Stephanie Nicole Norris, BRING IT!

From 💔 To ❤️!!

This was a great book! I loved the way Bri was able to help Raphael find true love again. She was patient and allowed him to fall in love with her. ❤️ Although she wanted him badly 🤤 she played her role and in the end he made the best decision to be with her. 👰🏽‍♀️. I really love the Valentine men. They really know how to treat a lady. Ms. Norris please continue what you are doing with your writing because I truly look forward to your books!

SNN hits her stride

I really enjoyed this title from SNN - with this being her fifth installment of the Valentine series, I can tell that her storytelling has hit a nice groove. Admittedly, it has taken me a minute to get accustomed to her choice of language in her writing (which leans towards formal/verbose), and I suppose some of that is intentional, to reflect lives of her wealthy, polished central characters. In Permission, particularly the second half, the tone of the dialogue and descriptors felt more natural to me as a listener, and it was easier for me to relate to the story. Norris did a great job intertwining the histories and backstories for Raphael and Bri, and I was interested to follow them through to the end.

Jakobi Diem and Wesleigh Siobhan are simply all-stars, delivering the narration with all the authenticity that we’ve come to expect from them. 5-star performances for sure. Would definitely recommend!
