The son of one of New York City's wealthiest entrepreneurs, Thornton Quincy, faces a dilemma. His father is dying, and in order to decide which of his sons will inherit everything, he is requiring them to do two things in six months: build a sustainable town along the Illinois Central Railroad, and get married. Thornton is tired of standing in his twin brother's shadow and is determined to win his father's challenge. He doesn't plan on meeting a feisty young woman on his way west, though.

well written

The wonderful characters struggle to find their direction in life. I truly enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book.

Nice interlude between more demanding online courses.

Pleasant, kept my interest. The narrator gave a credible presentation. I would read other books by this author.

Excellent story

One star off for the narration which would have been excellent except for one character. The voice used for that one made me cringe every time he spoke and that was often. It didn't ruin the book, but was terrible. Other than that it was a great book and I'd love to hear a sequel.

Good Storyline

I enjoyed the story although felt it drug in a few areas. But overall thought it was well written. I like this author very much. Thank you!
