Publisher's summary

With Little Means, a depiction of the pitfalls of fame and stardom.

We all have dreams and aspirations when we are young, but how many of us follow through with them? How many people take the chance and risk it all to follow their dreams? Not many. For most of us, life just seems to get in the way. But what if you had a second chance at it - would you take it?

A new reality show called Remarkable uses advanced memory-based technology to give everyday people an opportunity to tell their story and relive their dreams. We follow Rai Starr as he struggles with the decision to give up his family life for a second chance at rock stardom. As he journeys back, he meets actress Amy Strong, and soon finds out that fame comes with dangerous consequences.

A new reality show called Remarkable, uses advanced memory-based technology to give everyday people an opportunity to tell their story and relive their dreams. Trippy right? That's what Rai Starr thought too, he struggled with the decision to give up his family life, for a second chance at rock stardom. As he journeys back, he meets actress Amy Strong. Both are enjoying one another's company & this sci-fi memory-based technology, but soon Ray Starr will find out that fame sometimes comes with dangerous consequences.

What a creative and thoughtful plot for author Raimo Strangis to come up with. I thought this short book was very interesting but not just interesting it was also entertaining. It really made me think. The characters were believable and smart. I loved all the 90's rock bands mentioned and how the band was described as an early Weezer because my husband and I love the early them. Nirvana and all the others are mentioned, brilliant! Bravo Raimo! I hope to read more from you in the future.

Second Chance at Life

Rai Starr has a vision – becoming a rock star!  He failed his first try but now he has an opportunity to achieve his most treasured and desired dream – he can relive his life and become the rock star he has always longed to be.  But the cost is extremely high and requires just as high sacrifices. As if the consequences are not high enough - his actions are visible to anyone who wants to view him.

Similar to the Matrix and Truman Show, but with several twists, the author, Raimo Strangis, provides a provocative look at just how life can get in the way and the lengths one might take to achieve their deepest desires.  He puts on display the basic human desires and the consequences of choices.

Few characters but Strangis develops each one in detail giving his listeners an inside view into their minds and actions.  The plot twist is well-laid out and the dialog realistic.

The narrator, Brad Gerke, gives a solid performance.  His cadence is smooth, and he injects the right amount of emotion and feeling when appropriate.  I enjoyed his narration.

This is an interesting book and engages the listener into considering what lengths they may go to in order to achieve their dreams.

There were no issues with the production or quality of this book. The quality of the sound was crisp and clear.
