Publisher's summary

Having magic is a blessing from the gods, and they gave me an especially powerful gift when they made me a Spell Traveler. Now if only I could use it properly without randomly teleporting, falling, and inevitably crashing into important people!

As the youngest member of the renowned Harlow family, I, Brianne Marie Harlow, have some big shoes to fill. With amazing parents on the magic council and a sister who works for Witchling Star Agency, I’m determined to prove that I can meet the expectations of our family name.

I hope.

Getting accepted into Witchling Academy isn't the problem, given my gift. But surviving in a school filled with witches and warlocks? That is a whole other dilemma. My game plan? Focus on learning, do my homework, and speak to no one - except for my best friend, Elijah, who I secretly have a crush on.

What could go wrong? Turns out, everything.

On the first day of classes, I managed to piss off the leader of the Notorious Four, a group of hot boys with their eyes all on me. As if that weren’t bad enough, now I’m getting death threats and random men are chasing me after school, trying to steal my power.

Now I only have two goals. One, survive long enough to graduate and make my family proud. With craziness and danger coming at me left and right, it's up to me and Elijah - with the help of N4 - to find a way to make it out alive.

Goal number two? Manage not to fall in love with all five boys in the process.

Fantastic!

This was fast-paced with great character building. I really liked Brianne she was a strong character and I found her spell travelling quite funny, especially where she ends up. She is not very experienced in love and relationships though. I like that about her, a little bit of naivety is not a bad thing. Poor Brianne goes through a lot in semester one, death threats and people following her trying to steal her power.
Finding friendship with the Notorious 4 is just what she needs, they seem to be becoming great friends which doesn't please Elijah. What is a girl to do?
This was a great start to the series. I will definitely be continuing with it.
Lacy Laurel narrated this perfectly, I love her voice!

Hooked in the 1st chapter..

i loved this so much! Bri is so sweet and yes super innocent but it’s part of what make her great and helps hide how powerful she truly is. And those guys ugh so hot! I can’t wait to see what powers they have and if Bri is going to have more powers ooo and what kind of familiar she’ll have! So many questions I can not wait for the next one!!!! I recommend this listen and cant wait for more..🎧AudiobookObsession

Fantastic new series you won’t want to miss!

Witchling Academy

What happens when you and your BFF are both accepted into the top Witchling Academy? Should be the beginning of a wonderful year, but instead of the fantasy that Brianne Marie Harlow looked forward to, her dreams start crumbling before her eyes.

Between her friends betrayal and multiple death threats, Brianne shows that she is strong enough to step out of the shadows and embrace the magic and new friendships that she now has.

Brianne knows that if she wants to move forward she must make some hard choices, but will she pick the friend she’s known since she was young? Or will she move forward with those who are willing to accept her and her oddities as she is?

Pick up this book now, and be prepared to read it all in one sitting....this is a fantastic book you won’t want to miss!

Great book with great narration

While this is the first book I read by Avery Song, I have already read quite a few series written under her other name Yumoyori Wilson. I love most of her books and it's no surprise that I loved Witchling Academy. I love the fact she also releases books on audible now, which is a big plus for me. Listening + chores = win-win! The narrator did a great job!
___

Brianne is a young, gifted witchling accepted at Witchling Academy at a younger age then most. Together with her best friend and secret crush Elijah she goes to the Academy where she meets Jax, Kaito, Connor and Finnick aka the Notorious Four. While their reputation implies otherwise, they are very protective and kind guys, who immediately take a liking to Brianne. This, however, doesn't sit well with Elijah, who slowly distances himself from Brianne.
___

I liked the characters a lot. Brianne is very smart when it comes to studying, but naive and slower when it comes to matters of life. A contradiction that sometimes feels weird, but is explained by the fact she is younger and grew up with only Elijah as a friend, studying magic most of the time.
___

The world is set, the characters are introduced and we get the academy feel with the typical bullies etc.
I can't wait to learn more of the MC's background stories!

Witchling Academy

Enjoyed this first book of this series. Liked getting to know all the characters. Brianna May be young and inexperienced but her she is smart and determined. The more I got to know the notorious 4 the more I like each one. Look forward to the next book.
