Love the story. Dislike the narrator. She makes some of the characters sound like bad movie mob voices. Please find new narrator when Ms. Lee writes more on this series.

Bad narrator

I’m sorry but the current narrator is awful. The different tones used make no sense for the characters . Some sound screechy and whiny while others are dull and make the characters sound unintelligent. It is so bad I almost don’t want to listen to the books. I have to be in the mood to not be overly annoyed by the terrible voices. Please change to different narrator

Please change narrators

I love this series of books and the first narrator in the earlier books did a fantastic job giving the characters their own personality. Hollis is an awful narrator. Every female character with the exception of Aunt Tillie, sounds like a gun moll from a bad 1940s mob movie. It is honestly nails on a chalkboard in effect. She has toned it down a bit for this offering, but you really need to move back to the first narrator. Her style is a huge detriment to Ms. Lee’s entertaining series.

Aunt Tilly is the best character!

I like Bay, Clove, and Thistle but LOVE cranky old Aunt Tillie. She is so snarky and downright mean. Ha. The books are a good diversion. Start with Book 1 in the series if you are new to it.

Book 10 was awful

I don't typically skip parts of books but book 10 was so repetitive and boring I found myself skipping ahead constantly. The whole book was Bay whining and Landon begging for forgiveness for nothing. It was very hard to get through.

As always the narrator is awful, by book 12 her whiney and nasal tone has gotten better but she is a horrible narrator, I don't really understand why she gets chosen to narrate so many stories.

The other 2 books had more interesting story lines.

Cute stories.

These stories are great for keeping my mood light during these stressful times. The narrator whines all the time. They may talk about the characters whining at times, especially clove, but the narrator keeps their voice in a whiny tone too much of the time. Especially for the second one story in this collection.

What happened to this author!?

I listened in disgust to three chapters of the first book. No plot line, just whining about a boyfriend. This author wrote some interesting mysteries when she started this series...all of which I enjoyed. Now it’s like she’s just phoning it in. Not worth having. Returning as soon as I can figure out how to do so!😡

Very disappointed

I loved this series up to this point but am Very disappointed that instead of in-powering the young women characters as they move forward in the series they become dumber, ditzier, more reliant on men, and horribly whiny. Aunt Tillie is the only one that has any balls or gumption. How can three young ladies that have such strong Women role models be that ditzy and dependent on men?

not as enjoyable as the original books

Unfortunately, I couldn't finish these, despite my investment of time and money. I was glad they came to an end, that I didn't invest in the short stories....

Books 10 to 12

Well, after mostly enjoying the previous books I have to say that book 10 was absolutely awful, repetitive narrative, the same old innuendos over and over, Landon talking bedroom antics in every conversation, and the weakest storyline to date, I really had to make myself listen to the end as I had purchased three stories together and didn't want to miss out a big chunk, it was tough going though!! Happily, books 11 &12 were better, still with the same unending bedtime referrals and similar endings to the plots, but more Clove and Thistle and Aunt Tilly which makes the terrible character Landon a bit less irritating !!
