Publisher's summary

An intriguing biography of the victories and losses during the political career of the ninth president of the United States, who holds the record for shortest term.

Of the presidents who died of natural causes during their term in office, arguably the most preventable was that of William Henry Harrison, the ninth president of the United States. Despite holding the record for the shortest presidential term of merely a month, William Henry Harrison could never be deemed a failure, though he certainly saw his fair share of them.

William Henry Harrison: A Fascinating Biography of the 9th United States President details the life of an intriguing man who helped shaped the course of American history despite a tragically short presidency.

William Henry Harrison had a successful career in the army prior to coming to Washington, which began when he achieved victory in the Northwest Indian War where his predecessor could not. Though his political career had many successes, William Henry Harrison also came to learn from his losses, particularly during his time as governor of the Indiana Territory.

With a true love for what he believed to be the greatest country in the world, William Henry Harrison’s legacy is far more than his record for shortest term or longest inaugural speech. Indeed, the details of the life of the ninth president of the United States proves that life can still hold great accomplishment despite failure and tragedy.

Excellent

Excellent narration, along with an interesting glimpse back to the issues in that era of time. Along with giving us a look at these founders who became leaders. Well done and enjoyed.

8th Grade Writing. No Insight. Little Substance

A poorly written book with 8th grade level structure, repetitive language. But a few historical facts about Harrison, a slave holding proponent of expanding slavery, a cruel foe of Native Americans, and the shortest serving President. There are not many choices for Harrison biographies.
