Publisher's summary

Who is the king in America? Before you answer, do you know what the most common form of government in world history?

From the invention of writing around 3,300 BC, the world has mostly been ruled by kings. Though called by different names: Pharaohs, Chieftains, Emperors, Caesars, Sultans, Khans, Maharajas, Monarchs, and Dictators, they act the same.

Power, like gravity, concentrates into the hand of one person, who rewards his friends and punishes his enemies. In socialist and communist countries, too, though professing equality, they inevitably end up being ruled by dictators.

The king of England was the most powerful king the planet had seen. When Americans got the chance, they set up a government as far from a king as possible. They flipped it and put the people in charge.

A "republic" is where the people are king, ruling through their representatives.

The Constitution, in effect, is a collection of hurdles to prevent power from snapping back into the hands of a king.

Where did founders get their idea of people ruling themselves?

England's Magna Carta; Roman Republic; Athenian Democracy; and ultimately, Ancient Israel.

Israel, during its initial 400 years out of Egypt, was the first well-recorded instance of a nation ruled without a king.

Did this influence colonial pastors who founded New England? You will be surprised!

What ingredients are needed for a nation to function without a king? Is the God of Bible an integral part?

What is the difference between a democracy and a republic. How do they rise and fall?

Did political activists develop tactics to help them fall: Machiavelli, Robespierre, Hegel, Marx, and Alinsky?

The surprising answers, and more, are in the book Who Is the King in America? And Who Are the Counselors to the King?: An Overview of 6,000 Years of History & Why America Is Unique.

Great insight!

He talks about the history and centuries gone by, but you would swear it is all current events. Did Plato see into the future and spoke of both then and now? It sure seems so. The entire book is excellent, Chapter 36 is one I will go back to and recommend others read, if they can't make time for the entire book.

Thank you, William J. Federer!!

Amazing book! Definitely a must read!

There is so much about America’s amazing history that people don’t know today that this book could educate them about. America is an amazing country with an amazing foundation based on God‘s law and accidents and Deuteronomy. I wish that every American would read this book and take the lessons in it to heart!

Who's Ruling?

The book takes a look at history to give background on our current state of affairs in America. I learned a lot from these pages being read. I plan to get the paperback version so I can mark it for reference. I recommend this book. It will help you understand.

Packed with wisdom and history and...

Every America should read or listen to this book! If you want to save our country, know where we came from, and how we got to be the ungodly nation that we are today. The only thing missing in this book is what the future holds for you, your family, and America. I suggest that you listen to this book and then listen or read AMERICA IN BIBLE PROPHECY by JJ Jones. Then you'll know what you need to do to survive the coming APOCOLYPSE!

Must read for humanity

Mr. Federer excellently documented each piece of evidence. He provided a storyline to appeal to my questions of our countries foundation. I would recommend this book to every US citizen and require it to be read in every public educational setting suitable for middle schoolers: sixth through ninth grade students.

An introspective look into American history

An introspective look into American history that has largely been forgotten and rarely taught. The disregard wisdom and warnings of the past is coming to fruition right before our eyes today.

people do not change, the wisdom of the ancient philosophers sounds like a review of our world today.

I understand this is a collection of reviews and quotes, but the occasional fleshing out would have been a welcome addition.
